  • Love this!! What beautiful men!

  • Ducan as such a hugely underrated guitar player.

  • Thanks for posting... over the pond here we never got the chance to see these guys... oh how I wish I had... please take me back to '67, let me get back on the bus :)

  • anybody know if these guys ever played with the allman bros band?

  • Many thanks for posting.

This one is also from Filmore West as Fresh Air. LP : THE LAST DAYS OF FILMORE

  • I thought I saw him once down on Bourbon St.

    Playin in bar for beans

hanging out with gypsies an' tramps

    scorin dope an'haulin' amps

wearin' those designer jeans...Last Train to xrds...

  • Dino was wild & cool... this sounds great but would've been better with John

  • This is actually a clever "rock" reworking of "Hoochie Coochie Man" The lyrics are very similar.

Hendrix also borrowed Hoochie Coochie Man for for part of Voodoo Child. 2 versions of that one. One was "Slight Return". Makes things confusing.

  • the studio version features horns and is rather mannered......this versions better......there's even a better version floating around bootlegs which features an amazing extended delay-loop effect by cippolina.

  • I ran this movie as a projectionist in 73, and this became my favorite song by Quicksilver. I hadn't heard it since. This is the best, tightest version of the 3 on You Tube. -The guitar solo especially.

  • My favorite, along with "Fresh Air". The source for this particular clip isn't identified, but is it from the 1972 documentary, "Fillmore" (which also includes a rendition of "Fresh Air")?

  • Yes, this is from the last days of the Fillmore movie. There is also an LP box set that was put in in 1972 of this and "Fresh Air" being performed.

  • Attention all fans of the iconic Dino Valente and the original acid-rock-cowboys, Quicksilver Messenger Service. There is a podcast called The California Marijuana Report. FRESH AIR is theme song, other QMS classics such as MOJO, FIRE BROTHERS, DOIN TIME IN THE USA, OUT OF MY MIND are also featured. Support marijuana legalization and say yes to one of San Franciscos' finest institutions---QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE. Join the facebook page THE CALIFORNIA MARIJUANA REPORT.

  • Nice try. Keep it up check out esteembpo + com for social media marketing. gfh

  • Well obviously you didn't get out much, because one of the great rock icons, Dino Valente had a world-wide following with Quicksilver Messenger Service. Lets hear it for Dino, Duncan, David, Greg, Nicky and John!

  • This could be the best song ever. Love this version of the band as well. This song perfectly displays Gary Duncan/Dino Valente musical connection.

  • J belive that it filmed version of this great song that if is possible to find on "Last days at Fillmore " CD and LP.

Music as this is real fantastic!!!!!!

  • Great clip and a showcase for the great

Gary Duncan. Notice he is playing John

Cipollina's famous Bat Wing SG; John let

Gary use it for QMS's set on this last gig.
