  • nice to see those new types of diesel engines clagging but they sound gorgeous :P

    thanks for posting :) 5/5

  • 185144 is my fave! 5*

  • i am a big train lover so dont be hatin the diesels especialy they are the best class 158's my fave

  • Proves even modern diesels are filthy bloody things. The sooner we join the rest of the modern world and electrify the better

  • Claggy diesels are more exciting :-D

    cheers for commenting!

  • The engine was hunting as it had air in the fuel system and was yet to settle down after starting up hence the small amounts of clag. You can never beat the old type 3, 4 & 5 locos for clag ;-)

  • Couldn't agree more. Especially the Type 5s, the Deltics.

  • Ahh... I was more of a class 50 man myself ;-) A long way to travel from Yorkshire though!

  • Ah, right, yes the 50s are nice. Please, if you know, what is the state of play with 50033 Glorious? Is she still stored?

  • Every dieselengine claggs. That's why its called diesel.

I love de dieselsmell produced by an Cummins engine

  • Well ya know, I just never usually see 185s clag, just 47s and locos like that etc.. but yes I suppose after startup they'll release a little clag! I agree about your thoughts on the smell. All locos smell good!
