  • I think you all are pitiful examples of musicians, and you need music lessons. And some manners.

  • @gpwhite7 says the screamo christian d bag. Why were you even bothering to watch a dulcimer video. I don't believe mountain music and screamo pair well.

  • Thank you! I learned to play Amazing Grace by watching your video over and over. My version is called "Amazing Grace with feather pick/cat toy" and I am MacyJayne100 on Youtube

  • I donated that tie to GoodWill in 1981

  • Sometimes music is just music. Great video!

  • Well done guys. txs buletpoint

  • Nice music, thanks.

  • Thanks guys. This takes me home and you two remind me of my family so much it brings tears. Don't stop playing that wonderful music. When is there going to be another?

  • next time leave the Hee Haw antics out and just play. Its an awesome sound, very pure and simple. Roy Clark is a master guitarist but hes known for....Hee Haw.

  • @D13G054NCH3Z The people living in the Appalachian mountains and all across the South. The only ones left in this country who are still openly discriminated against and mocked because of an accent and location. Maybe we talk funny, but we ain't stupid. And we know what good music is ;)

  • @laauryl15 How are we diiscrimatneted?

  • Great music, offensive execution.

  • @thatsmrlistersir Who does it offend?

  • I liken this spoof to having two bare-footed Black men in overalls sitting on a porch; Watermelon sitting in clear view or a "Mammy" with a rag on her head. Normal people don't find this kind of SHIT funny. Why? Because it takes the human condition of sadder times and LAUGHS at it; belittling people who had no choice in their personal conditions. "Hillbilly" is extremely offensive; every bit as offensive as "Nigger". Shame on these two White men who would denigrate their own race like this.

  • @sherstone

    I completely agree.

  • @sherstone

If white men aren't allowed to laugh at other races and we aren't allowed to laugh at ourselves then I guess it's time to fall back on the good old standby of ripping the piss out of you brainless cum dumpsters eh? You pretentious cunt, learn to take a joke or get yourself a rope and find a nice tall tree.

  • i almost bailed because of the hokey beginning! i'm so glad i didn't. i still have goosebumps. ya'll rock! thank you!

  • Awesome !

  • Like the authentic livestrong bracelet

  • Great sound and great jokes. A pickin' an' a grinnin' in da great smokies, aint nuttin' like it. Uh Huh!!!

  • Schönes Stück :D Verklag den Typen, der die Krawatte entworfen hat!!!

  • Nice and homey, out on the porch. Thanks and see if you guys can keep the 'family' together and keep on playin.' It's stuff like this that makes YouTube worthwhile.

  • how many strings does your dulcimer have?

  • Kewl

  • This is so funny! thanks for posting! made my day! pickin and a grinnin!

  • I think it is cool.......I just got a dulcimer this weekend and I really like the sound of it. The drone string reminds me a little of the sound of bag pipes. Very well done guys. Thanks for posting.

  • This is my dad and brother. They were in a talent show that day and everyones shoes were flying off. My dad and Jamie came dad said "dont have to worry about being hit with shoes for now" because they had no shoes on. It was funny.

  • at first i was wow what is this really but i gave it a chance and i am really glad you did.. a favorite song of mine.

  • It's nice to see they dressed up for the occasion by wearing ties!

  • Amazing that y'all are fighting about decency, respect and goodwill while cussing each other out. Silly.

Beautiful music and cool that the kid made his dulcimer for school.

  • Beautiful music, but you sure could have left the belching out. Just because a person is a "hillbilly" doesn't mean someone is crude and ill mannered. As a "hillbilly" miyself, I'm somewhat offended by how people stereotype us.

  • I can see where you're coming from. But I don't worry about them. Let the people who are interested really learn how we grew up and live and then everyone will start to understand.

    That's how I see it.

  • This kicks ass:D Favourited & 5*! Love this version of amazig grace :D:D!!!

  • Exactly! The treble string has the melody and the other two drone, like a bagpipe. Many play it with full chords and finger picking also.

  • Go NC they do seem to have so much talent and music, I think this was great, I loved it, even the belching, remeber God also has a sense of humor :) lighten up

  • As a person of refined and tastes towards the Classical, I found this to be the best version of Amazing Grace I have ever heard. The energy was amazing, the purity of the music was in itself a blessing. The stage show, well they did try to hard, but I enjoyed their fun and do it myself with the inlaws in Dallas/Fortworth.

In the end, Just enjoy the music for what it is, a personal choice. Music is just this. There is no need for armchair Critics here, Have fun with it.

    Even GOD would say that.

  • God hates belching? First I've heard of that. Odd how He made us so gassy then. I tend to think it's His decision on whether or not to take offense. Grace has many forms and I think laughter is one of the greatest, but as I said, it's for Him to decide.

When a man chooses to take offense, it has more to do with his willingness to be offended than anything else. The offender lacks that power. The offended renders the offense with the power over himself.

    Great music, bless you all.

  • If you think the comedic relief is "disrepectful to the song" then you sirs, are simpletons.

Basically saying that even hillbilly rednecks (which these 2 clearly are not) can also have morals and religion. So fuck off plz.

  • I live in South-eastern Kentucky, I've heard better...

  • the tie is hiliarious lol

  • Loved the video. And you must be from the Maggie Valley NC area. I grew up there and that is the only place I have ever met a Cagle. I think half the area is either a Cagle or related to one.

  • thats a right nice porch. good job fellows.

  • I love the talent of the musicians, but they could have left off the belches... that was disrespectful considering the song they are playing.....

  • last time i checked a song dosent have feelings so it cant feel disrespected

  • ok but to A LOT of other people, its just a song and really could give a damn about people that they dont knows feelings.

    you gotta realize this..

not everybody has the same views as you.

  • Yes, but it is still disrespectful. Yeah there probably are loads of people who couldn't give half a fuck about someone ripping off Amazing Grace, but there are many, many people who *do* care.

Fucking a blow-up doll in the likeness of Jesus in front of a burning inverted crucifix isn't okay just because there's some people who wouldn't find it offensive. You obviously fail to understand basic common sense and goodwill.

  • Lighten up, Francis.

  • whats the name of the 2nd song?

  • sounds like Frère Jacques

  • thats what i thought

  • Great playing!

  • I live in NC and would like to know when and where I can see you play please.

    Thanks - Love it

  • great job james!!

  • wow just wow i loved it

  • loved it

  • Real nice....

  • Very nice - music AND comedy!

  • This is GREAT STUFF !!

  • Nice James.
