The Daily Show has won 13 Emmy Awards, Jon Stewart has hosted the Oscars twice and most college students and 20 somethings like me get their news for late night comics like Jon Stewart. I think they both came out pretty good considering the Crossifre incident. It does show you how crazy cable news is and how hard it is to ignore it.

The problem you have in questioning Jon Stewart's level of intelligence, is that you've failed to sort out whatever problem is inflicting your keyboard caps key. So how smart is your assessment?

You're also confusing concise with simple. Stewart expresses his opinions in a concise manner. And even though his arguments are easily understood, they are not simple nor simplistic - which might be an indicator of a lack of intelligence.

His speed of response IS a sign of intelligence and intellect.
