but stronghold 2 has alot more buildings and focus more on castle life

ver all i would go with stronghold 2, buy them both and try for your self, i got all 5 of the strongholds for 20 bucks, so they should be piss cheep

I'm new to the game. Can someone tell me, whether it is possible to build defensive structures (walls and towers etc.) in the counties you acquire (i.e. apart from the initial county). I don't seem to be able to do that, so I was wondering if it is supposed to be this way, or I lack some knowledge of how to do that. Thanks in advance!

This game is a good mix of strategy and sim. It's fun and let's you feel like your actually controlling your own castle. Despite the not very polished graphics and gravity affects along with a not very good story I still enjoyed it, something that allot of games fail at. I can't wait for number 3 and I hope it's bad ass!

@dragosh9991 dude i played this game years ago so i don't realy remember the details of the game but what you say sounds familiar man, if the guardians aint doing nothing try restarting the mision cause it could be lag or a mistake in your current game :)

the main characters voice over was so awful, maybe a good vocal actor but not for a warrior even a posh one. ruined Stronghold 2 for me (though still a good game, not compared to 1) because i love the music and care about the sound. thumbs up if you agree? so firefly studios can see.

the thing about stronghold 2 is that its good building up a castle but there is so much shit you have to worry about that its not as fun

and the map creation is better but worst cause you can't just do whatever you want in there like have people fight each other without leaving the game

Stronghold legends = fighting basic buildings

Stronghold crusaders extreme = Bad ass fighting with hundreds if troops

Stronghold crusaders = more so fighting and some castle life

So basically it comes down to what you want in the end, i love the complex stronghold 2 over the rest

well none of the stronghold series games' has collision on the units but i still think that 2 is da best. legends is second (it would be first but everything is expensive like: a brewery costs 50 wood instead of 10.) #1 just plain out sucks in my opinion. im just glad that they got better over time...
