  • I was a waiter at the Humphrey House starting on opening night (which I thought was November 5th, 1978, not October 1978, as November 5th was my parents anniversary and they ate there that night). The place was packed every night of the week except for Sunday's. I had 7 tables and I was always on the go. Great memories. Really sorry to see it go, I stopped in a few times on my visit's back to Penfield. It's another chapter of Penfield disappearing. -Jim Suss

  • Jim - thanks for your comment. I was told by Jon Ludwig that he and Andy Gleason opened the place in October 1978. Maybe he was mistaken, but that's the facts I had to go on.

  • Actually, opening night was November 8th, 1978, a Wednesday night. It was like a rehearsal for the weekend.
