  • Thanks for posting this video because I have the same problem as you did but I can just go and get one from the dealership. THANKS!

  • I used to use my standard white cable with my regular iod & it woked just fine, so, I bought the Ipod touch and same thing happen like with yours, the beeping and no charging, and the radio showed reading device, but, It eventually failed and couldn't use It, so I guess I'll have to buy the cable from the KIA dealership????????

  • But the standard iPod USB Cable DOES work with the iPod Touch on the 2012 Hyundai Sonata!!! FYI!!!! Just tried this morning and it had full functionality with standard USB cable that came with my iPod Touch!

  • @paul51035 Consider yourself lucky. My best friend bought one this weekend and it won't work with the standard cable.

  • For the record, that cable is $20 on Amazon

  • I was wondering if its possible to change track through bluetooth? For example, saying a command that allows you to change the track or pick an artist? And will it also work on a Elantra? THX

  • THANKS! I'M GOING BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE CABLE!

  • New car ñ_ñ Hyundai rocks!!

  • you have to get the cable from hyundai thats the only usb one that worked for me. on the other hand aux cables will work but the sound will be much lower

  • Thanks for this, it helped.

  • they need to make a pandora subscription in these cars

  • In my Suzuki Kizashi it has a USB port, but not the AUX jack. I use the cord that came with my ipod and plug it in to the USB port and it works just fine with out having to buy a factory cord for it. I guess it's a way for Hyundi to make customers spend more money.

  • I have the hyundai cable and when i connect my iphone 4 it says no music is on my phone

  • @lizahs50 There most be some problem either with your iPhone 4 (it might be empty) or you may want to take your car to your dealership and ask them to take a look. That is in no way normal, I have had my Sonata 2011 since July 2010 and it works perfectly with my iPhone 4, iPod classic and also when I use them with my bluetooth.

  • Turn that song back up. I have them on my android. Although Deadmua5 and Goldfrapp are better. Great music to listen to when your late for work and traffic is a mess and driving your Sonata makes you feel good while doing it.

    I love this car.

  • @Lexlus42 Excuse me I meant Deadmau5.

  • Hey, I actually have a 2011 Sonata, and my iPod works fine with the Apple (White) cable. Then again I have iPod Nano 5th Generation, so it may be different.

  • Thanks for the info bud! Just got the SE model yesterday. I have a video iPod that I know will work once I get the cable (I tried with the standard iPod cable, it was a no go). I also tried connecting my iPhone to the car with the standard iPod cable and it did the SAME THING that your ipod touch did (as far as making the noise over and over). My question is, could I potentially use my iPhone as my music source? And if so, would it charge the phone while playing the music? Thanks!

  • @LHunt49 You can use your iPhone as the music source, even using Bluetooth! Unfortunately the iPhone exhibits the same static problem in my car.

  • Can you provide info about the steering will controls? Can you Forward/Reverse from the steering wheel? I use bluetooth AD2P and AVRCP for the iphone but the bluetooth stack wont support Forward/Reverse functions. Thanks
