So, no, I don't think those shows about pregnant teens set a "good example" for kids to not have sex. Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant are amazing examples. Know why? They may show it's "hard" being a teen mom, but they're also showing that they are getting FAMOUS for having sex and having a kid at a young age. 16 and pregnant and teen mom give insight into real hardships that teenage mothers face and i really don't think ellen should have used them as an example for shows that influence teens in a bad way. if anything, they most likely influence teenage girls to not have sex until later in life because they are able to see the difficulties of being a teenage mother. i have nothing against chaz bono, but i don't think ellen made a strong case with mentioning those two shows.
