  • The dash looks too cheep. They really destroyed the concept car.

No doubt about it Bob Lutz is definitely back. I wish that man would just die already and take his 1970's plastics with him.

  • LOL AT THE END, WHAT YOU SAID LOL XD

  • i drove that, it was kinda hard to see out of, but i liked it. was most def a highlight of my day haha

  • I agree with zora, they Almost got it right

  • The Challengers aren't bad. They're amazing cars that stay true to their heritage.

  • just a little bit too heavy though, thats why the camaro and stang kills it!

  • i drove an LT in the summer and loved it. i bet the ss is great.

  • I drove beside 2 of them yesterday they have such a nice body and its like standing next to a ferrari or something

  • my dad did that 2, his friends boss bought 4 off the line and are modifing them, its crazy how smooth it picks up, we got like 80 something in 7sec.

  • whats funny in the good old days hehehe the z28 was the premeir special perfomance camaro with the ss below it maybe chevy will return to them roots and have like a 500hp ss then a 700 hp special perfomance camaro (aka z28)

  • i like how you think but I think that 700 hp is just to much:)

  • you can never have enough hp :P

  • I had the pleasure of driving next to one today on the road. It was black but I am not sure if it was the v6 or if it was the v8. It was beautiful.

  • did it have a slit on the front where more air can get in the car?

  • I wasn't able to see the front of it unfortunately.

  • oh, but you were still driving it? wierd.

  • Lol, no, I was driving my Camaro a few weeks ago & I had the pleasure of driving neck & neck with the new Camaro. I couldn't see the front of it because I had to look at the road in front of me but it was so nice to be next to. My car being 20+ years older & the newer Camaro side by side. It's a hot thought, lol.

  • oh ok, lol.

  • yeah, i was next to a yellow one w/ black stripes in my 3rd gen. it was a badass feeling!!!! i got goosebumps

  • It's in KPH you turds, watch the center display.

  • yeah

  • it is not kph... i doubt the camaro is only capable of reaching 180 kph,

  • By your reasoning then every car made in the mid to late eighties in the US cannot exceed 85mph due to the 85mph speedometer mandate made up to go along with the 55 mph national speed limit.

  • i dont know about the mid late eighties but the 2010 that one is in mph, dont you think??

  • Nice ride. I think those bomb gauges are the coolest thing on the new Camaro

  • For sure!

  • The governor thing kicks in at 155, the car can do more. I sat in one yesterday, looks like a great car, didn't get to drive it.

  • wow and you think the mustang looks better?? lol well i guess that's ur opinion lol

  • Lol...one of many reason why GM is doomed. Get a 1968 Camaro SS, it will turn more heads than this POS !!

  • that's actually true

  • but thats cause you have to realize the 68/69 camaros are some of the most recognized muscle cars ever made, those will make (retarded) import fans say "thats a nice car"

  • not true

  • thats true but its not a bad looking car

    and i prefer 67.

  • It does not have SS badge on gauges only on the bottom of the stering wheel.the hp! is 426 on the manual & 400hp!on the automatic. the top speed with 20inch wheels is 185mph!the camaro wiil kick your dodge srt's ass all over the track.

  • dodge challenger srt8 top speed 175!!

  • Top speed means nothing. Have you ever read a car magazine? They never talk about top speed, because it's not important

  • who cares about top speed? speed limit is 55-65 around most places. Have fun doing 175 passed a cop your ass would be in jail. I think if you do triple the speed limit now they can get you for Attempted murder in most states? Or something like that...

  • in FL if your 30+ over speed limit it can be considered attempted murder, rarely ever happens though.

  • thas wussup..i think the camaros can only go 155 like the new european cars...

  • 155? the 4th generation with LT1 got that maybe. I know for a fact the stock SS models with LS1s did 160+. Camaro can only improve from there. This new one may wiegh more but its got a hell of a lot more rumble on it. 6.2L w/ a 6 speed can only mean one thing to me. 180s stock.

  • my dads getting one! suckers. the ss new one top speed 160 mph with 427 horse power

  • man you're so lucky to have the chance to drive that, must've been so much fun

  • TOP SPEED???

  • doesnt seem like a ss....That tac is in KM/H. If he REALLY stomped on it for that short period of time and it only jumped 10 KM/H...then I am deeply disappointed in the big surprise of the power in the ss :/. I hope the z28 has 600 horsepower and jesus under the hood.

  • Yes it was indeed an SS, and since it is a GM executive's car, there was no way I was going to be abusing it! I only gave the throttle a little blip inthe video.

  • well that aint bad. But whats with the KM/H tac? Since it is an american car shouldn't it have MPH instead? And what size motor did this one have?

  • @7t2vette frostbytey doesnt seem like a ss....That tac is in KM/H

Actually no that tach is in MP/H not KM/H

  • @OMFGTHEJUSTIN its KM/H turn up your quality and make it full screen, its pretty clear but i'm sure its an SS.

  • @cozzey05

I never said it wasn't an SS. I was replying to a comment from a poster who said it wasn't. The car does indeed appear to be a SS. Also, the tac *IS* in MP/H not KM/H. The maximum speed on the gauge on the video is 180. @ 180 KM/H > 112 MP/H. When i rented a SS on my trip to Phoenix from Avis last year IIRC the speedo was 180 MPH and not 112 MPH. Maybe *YOU* should turn up your quality and make sure it's full screen :)

  • @OMFGTHEJUSTIN You can change it to metric by the push of a button. Do you really expect the RPMs to only be at 2500 while he's cruising at 107? You can tell by his surroundings that he's not actually going that fast. Plus he lives in Canada so why would he be using MPH?

  • @cozzey05 What do you mean 'change it to metric'? The gauges are a (analog) hard copy printed layover under the dash with a digital instant readout screen in the middle. The gauge numbers arnt LED's or anything like that, its not like you can have the numbers on the cluster read 0-180 in MPH, then flip a button and then they convert over to the appropriate KPH cluster. Now the digital speedo in the center with the instant speed rating can change over from MPH/KPH.

  • @OMFGTHEJUSTIN Even on analog gauges you can still change it to metric, GM has been doing this for years even on analog gauges. Cadillac has a few cars that have been able to do it for awhile, the newer Pontiac Grand Prix are able to do it. The guy even states he wasn't driving it very hard, click on his link and you can read for yourself that he's in Canada. In Canada they use the metric system.

Just google 2010 Camaro SS metric gauges and you should find your answer

  • If it's not an SS, than why does it say "SS" under the RPM gauge!

  • i dont doubt it's an ss anymore the video poster already cleared this up with me. But you must have really good eyes.

  • I have been in the SS and a V-6, and the SS has the logo under the gauges. You can't see it in this video, but you could see a smudge, which gives it away.

  • well you sir are very lucky if i got in a camaro ss id never come back probably >.>

  • @frostbytey

Pretty sure it's not in Km/h...since this is America, and I own one. This thing has more balls than you mother has in her mouth right now...and thats a lot.

  • @frostbytey

This thing has more balls than your mother has in her mouth right now...and thats a lot.

  • 108 MPH no problem!!!

  • Another reason I dont think I would buy the challenger srt8 is because the fact its an srt8. Srt8 has put the same motor into almost every car that they have put in the challenger.. i.e. The Jeep Grand Cherokee Srt8, The Charger Srt8... I want something unique enough to where it is its own. And yes I know the camaro based engine is from the Cadillac CTS for sake of arguments.

  • You talk or Srt8 like if it was a company.... the Srt8 is simply a model, which offers the biggest available, from the 5.7 to the 6.1 HEMI engines. Hence the Srt-4, the Srt-6.... etc. Don't blame them if Chrysler puts them in all thoses cars, They are runt by the same company (Chrysler). So yes, the srt-8 models will have mostly the same engines.

  • So if Srt is simply a model (Not a company).. why did you say not to blame THEM if Chrysler uses the same engines.. and then continue to say they are "RUNT" by the same company?

You say I talk of SRT like if it were a company.. and you claim its a model. But then you turn around and say they are a company, but ran under Chrysler. Don't try replying to other peoples comments if your going to contradict yourself.

I understand and know everything you said.....

  • All you did is make yourself look like a moron trying to sound smart, but to finally end your comment "So yes, they will have mostly the same engines". Which comes to agreeing with me, stating Srt8 uses the same motor for all Srt8 models. WHICH IS MY POINT! I Clearly said I DO NOT WANT SOMETHING that is in almost every model put out, I WANT something UNIQUE enough to where it is its own. You... SUCK

  • Wow, looks like you get mad easily, fuckhead. When i said "them", i talked about chrysler. If you can't have a discussion without turning like a douchebag, then don't ask why you'r such a clueless stool.

  • all this talk about comparing the camaro to the challenger.. Yeah the challenger is bad ass (ive sat in a couple at the dealerships and they are one hell of a car) but Im a chevy guy through and through. Own a Silverado currently, and My first car I ever had when i was 16 was an '82 Z/28 and that started it all.. Im buying the new Camaro. Period.

  • Comment removed

  • you won lucky son of a gun, i want one so bad

  • fucking drugs

  • wow i hate the gauges

  • Is the speedo in KPH or MPH? It looks like your going 100+?

  • kph

  • what is the car like? i hope to have my order in within the next three months

  • Anything about it in particular you want to know about?

  • have you driven the challenger (or raced one lol)? if so how does it compare. i assume its a bit faster because it weighs less than the chally but has the same power. i bet that thing gets almost too much attention doesnt it? man i cant WAIT to be behind the wheel of one!!! hopefully ill get to test drive one before i go to basic training. itl probably be after that though. you are one lucky dude in my eyes. how did you obtain such a privilege?

  • @bungholio1989

Cool car just have to get used to not seeing the long nose so getting used to parking it and maneuvering it, but very easy to drive and it's smooth and comfortable.

When you're punching it the car is also very silent but when you're gunning the throttle you will hear the LS3 roaring awesome car no doubt.

  • lol your dad too old to be having a sidekick

  • Huh? lol

  • Thats nice, you should join a Camaro forum to tell about your experiences. Nice Job

  • What is a good Camaro forum to join?

  • camaro5

  • Good god that dash is hideous.

  • Agreed.

  • I have to wait about a month until mine comes in. The first shipment is coming in next week. Pissed off. Thought I was gonna be one of the first to own one. Please tell me what is the performance like?

  • lucky you! i test drove the challenger its awesome, but if the new camaro has an LS7 in it then i think i know what im getting :-)

  • na....that was jus a sema car

  • oh dont say that!!! lol i wish they do slap an LS7 in this thing, the challenger srt8 is supposed to upgrade to the 392 hemi and make 500HP so an LS7 would counter that perfectly, not to mention now the cheating gt 500 has some competition. they use supercharger to get 500hp but a camaro is stock so is a chally. nothing against the gt500 but that car is not stock. but i want that 392 hemi or an ls7 powered pony car really bad!

  • A GT500 is stock. LOL @ thinking a poweradder is cheating. GM has designed a Z/28 model with the LSA engine. (A 556hp supercharged 6.2l.) They are just debating whether or not to build it.

  • well poweradding is kind of cheating, not just mustang i mean evos sti srt4 ZR1 theyre not on motor as far as i know the camaros LS3 is what is confirmed for now

and i know they had an LS7 concept which i think they should make. im e previous mustang owner i dont hate on them im just saying its not motor vs motor. a face off between a camaro and a chally would be fair rather than against a gt500. its a great car dont get me wrong.

  • Well would you consider nitrous cheating? How about heads/cam? Power is power. Doesn't matter how you get it.

The SS has the LS3. The Z/28 high performance model, if built, will have the LSA engine.

  • if youre going to argue then stop here. and yes NOS is cheating. no cams arent because that is inside the block an not forced induction or any other form of a power adder. so would you race a camaro or a challenger against a supercharged V8 mustang? would you call that fair? yeah theyre in the same class i know but a supercharger is a supercharger and doesnt change that its still "all motor"

  • since when did the Z/28 have the better engine then the SS?

  • Since now. lol. The z/28 is on indefinate hold but they cleared the convertible for production so hopefully they will clear the z/28 and produce it. All I know is the z/28, based on what I've read will be badass. STOCK on a set of DOT drag radials, it should run 11s. :D

  • sound pretty sweet, i hope they pull through with it though, i have an 87 z28 myselft just brought back to life, i was just always under the assumption that z28 models (more so 1st and 2nd gens, cuz there were no SS for 3rd gens, but i guess the iroc's took the place for SS's) had the suspension upgrades and the smaller v8 engines so they would be better road racing cars

  • Power IS power. Yer an idiot for thinking otherwise, espcially since GM's top dog motor LSA/LS9 is not "on motor"

  • maybe youre the idiot for not realizing its supercharged. its an LS3 with a supercharger their fastest MOTOR is the LS7 however their fastest SETUP is the LS9. im not hating on the car im calling it like it is.

  • What in the fuck are you talking about?

GM "cheats" and supercharges same as ford, for your precious masturbatory ZR1.

  • no one said cheat stupid fuck so youre saying youd race a stock camaro against a supercharged "stock" gt500?

dont put words in my mouth which i havent said.

  • actually lol the camaro ss can keep up with a gt500kr

    for 50k less

the ss 0-60 4.7, the kr is like 4.4

    quarter:

    ss 13.0, kr 12.8

  • yeah not too far apart. i take the camaro or a chally over the gt500 anyday. just cause of the price.

  • lol same here

  • Ok, I see now, So you think SC is a "setup"...HAHAHAHAH

Fucking fag. Lemme reiterate what buddy said: power is power.

  • umm ok you fucking homo an SC is a fucking setup!!!! its not part of the engine wipe the cum from your eyes so you can fucking see what im right dipshit.

  • Ohh ok! I was gonna say where's the fire! lol I can't wait til I order my Camaro soon!

  • Damn you're really moving on!

  • LOL! The speed is in KPH not MPH, so it is about 60 mph. Remember the Camaro is made in Canada
