I really think that Kira and Athrun one of the best made characters in anime. Sunrise has done a good job - its hard to find qualities that those two have in male animes characters. I actually think, all of the characters are welll made. including Flay - she was awesome, you dont find much people like her. I liked the characters more than the storyline to be honest.
