it's looking pretty good at the moment. took the tops off the beans to prevent blackfly last night and had them for tea. yum yum! thanks for dropping by :)
Your garden is fabulous! I envy all of the wonderful fresh food you'll be having. We always had a garden when I was growing up and I think home grown tastes so much better than what you buy in the store. I'm hoping we'll be able to plant a few veggies at the new place. There's a bit of room for a few tomatoes and squash, I think. Oooooo, I'm so envious of your veggies. Lol. My mouth is watering! Hugs :-)
you are talking about the new place like it's yours. i hope that means you got it. living by the sea will be glorious. and growing your own veg gives you such a sense of self reliance. my squashes didn't germinate this year but now i don't know where we'd have put them anyway, lol. next year i cant wait to see what you grow. and you could fish too. i have an arrangement with some elderly gentlemen in the village. they fish and i bake them a fruit cake, it's a fair exchange! i love fresh fish! :)
Well, I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch, but it's looking like we may have it. We're just waiting for the phone call that will make it official. They have to do some kind of calculations and then an inspection of the property to see if it meets all of the Housing Authority qualifications. We know we did pass their screening, though, so it's looking good. I have all my fingers and toes crossed. Lol. :-) We love fish, too.
It seems as though eye-dazzling magic always comes of your wandering around with your camera. Look at all of those lovely plants thriving under the watchful eye of... the kitty? Nah, surely the kitty is a mere spectator, looking to chase a wayward lizard into the nether regions of the garden. Anyway, the splendid results of your "green thumb" are really a joy to gaze upon... and listen to: are those guys out there wandering around & singing in your garden all the time? Hmm, must be nice! :-)
i think she was looking for somewhere to poo! the garden is now humming to the sound of BEES! the first tomato flower opened today and the first bean pods have formed. i'm not big on weeding so any plant that does make it into the garden needs to be a survivor! but yeah, we're quite pleased with the results this year. it's always lovely to hear from you, hope you get that place by the sea. :)
yayyy bees! so pleased it worked and they didn't fly away. it's funny but every house you've lived in ends up like the buena vista social club. garden's looking wonderful. xxx
