some people at valve call it half life 3, but as one of the main developers said, they prefered to give gamers 3 episodes once in a wille than one full game - half life 3 - in 6 years time. I read an episode 4 is also in the making...but it will be with a new story line.

As a representative for Valve, I will say that you WILL be able to purchase all five games individually for $29.95 for Half-Life 2, $19.95 for Half-Life 2: Episode One, $29.95 for Half-Life 2: Episode Two, $19.95 for Portal, and $29.95 for Team Fortress 2.

Obviously it is a better deal to purchase The Orange Box instead of buying all of them individually.
