  • i run 14 front, 45 rear, on 04 yz250f that has stage 2 cams and 290cc kit, my bike does 93 mph clocked with out losing a shit ton of bottom end i mean, if you where running stock gears on a 250f 13/48 my 1st gear is like your second gear yet your 5th gear will only let you hit 75-81 and my 5th will hit 93 :)

  • if i add one tooth on the rear sprocket will that give me better acceleration

  • @ben1996ful slightly it would be hard to notice, dont play with the back if you really want a change go down in the front, i run a 52/13 on my freestyle 125sx and a 14/48 on my rmz450 motocross bike 450 still destroys the turns and has killer top speed in straits, where as the 125 gets full speed in like 250 feet, but it has crazy accel for short run ups to ramps and pulls it around really fast for backflips, you really just gotta mess with it all until you find what fits your riding style

  • I need more top end my rm125 is a 13 and 45 and has no top speed. What should I do

  • @5amerto first off id try 14 45 and if that didnt work put vforce reed valves on it cause it needs new ones

  • i have 10 in front 41 in back how do i get more accel yz100

  • @davison1021

10/41 is just fine mate, maybe go 9 in front.

  • i have 10 in front 41 in back how do i get more accel

  • i have a kx 88 and stock 14/50 what tooth sprocket should i put on thear th make it acelerate faster

  • I run a 14t front & a 48t in rear, hauls ass on my 2002 crf 450r

  • I want to run 15/52 on my KDX200 but i would like to know the advatages

  • if i add a tooth to the front spocket and subtacted a tooth from the rear. would i gain top speed?

  • @icool247 yes you would also lose botom end or less exeleration

  • @jdirtbiker1 oh im not worried about bottom. the riding i do doesnt really require bottom end and hard exeleration

  • @icool247 you can only go so big on the front the chain takes up more rome than you think

  • @jdirtbiker1 well all im looking for is more top end

  • @icool247 no more acceleration less torque. youll be better in turns but a lower top speed. If you want to have a high top speed you need to either go to a smaller front or a bigger back or both.

  • @JustRide626 no the bigger the rear sprocket you get more bottom end, the smaller your rear sprocket you'll get more top end

  • @icool247 yes

  • how would 47/14 be on a 450cc yamaha?

i want highspeed and just good accelaration on 0-60km/h!!

  • Cool, just what i needed to find out because i am replacing the chain & sprockets on my 00' CR250R that I got a lil over a year ago. The previous owner was running 14/53 which I am pretty satisfied with expecially in pitts and trails, but noticed when on a dirt road trying to blow by a friend I kinda lack some speed. I don't like to pinnit for more than a few seconds. I picked up a 14/50 combo, haven't installed yet, middle of wintert here. anyone else run this one? How is it?

  • Just wanted to let ya know that you should make a video telling about how smart "YOU" are and how FUCKING STUPID the guys doing the "expertvillage" videos are!!!! Im a technician at a Yamaha dealer and a graduate of MMI and just so all the people that watch your videos know THIS GUY HERE KNOWS HIS SHIT!!!!! Good job on the videos guys!!!!!!
