But it is vary true. It is sad how people get up in the morning eat go to work go to bed. even with a job you still have bills to pay and with hat ever money you have left over you need to spend on off and cloths. and once you retier what do you have from all the work you have done none to not much. I am even scared at that work till your 70 and still have nothing. But what he did was took time off to enjoy a bit of life by drawing pictures of things he had done in the past when he was younger

This animated feature is amazing.  At first, I think it is very humorous, with his mundane life. (who hasn't felt like that before?) But then, it is very touching how he dies with his drawings on the wall with no one to see them. Some of them looked to me like scenes of bullying, and others like the guy had a great imagination.

Everone arguing over what this means, ever think that its open to interpretation by the viewer. Things arent always black or white, based off life experiences it can be seen as something different from what others see. Personally, as an artist, this means alot to me, and I appreciate the upload.

Very true. There are so many things in life to explore and learn about, but sadly there are those who've a strict schedule, and work on the very same thing everyday. So near the end, he drew exquisite pictures so as to escape his routines, and show what life is really like. And it made him happy. The little things in life are the very things that make us happy.

The title is "Refuge." He does the same thing every day and only smiles when he draws those pictures. All the pictures are of normal life stuff. Maybe he took refuge in his dreams of normal life because he had such a drop dead boring life. Maybe? That's my interpretation. Go Grickle!!

Without words it still says so much. It doesn't matter that he only left behind some pictures. What matters is the smile you see on his face after he finishes his first one. He found a way to cope with everydaylife, which is fastly becomming more like a jail sentance than anything.
