Sorry, I am not buying it. Yes, you can be swayed into having sex with someone who is very powerful that you dare not say a thing about it. To say, I really thought it was my calling, NOT! These occurrences lets us know that no minister should be put upon a pedestal. When we do that, we open ourselves up to great disappointment in the future. The ministers are not gods. They are human being who are just as fallible as the rest of us.

All a minister has to do is give in the sexual fantasies that many people are confronted with. I hate to see this happen to the congregation more than anything.

Paulk's death came after an "extended and horrible battle with cancer," Paulk's nephew, Bishop Jim Swilley, wrote in a blog post.

But his success as a preacher was overshadowed time and again by allegations of sexual impropriety.

Sad... and even worst, I think his grand-daughter is telling the truth. I dont know if he still minister's but if he does, they should sit him down. And being that this woman was molested and or raped since childhood he should not be allowed around any children. His sincerity should be questioned as he did not confess right away, but only when other allegations were up and coming. A shamefull abuse of authority! May God show him more mercy, then he showed his victims.

There are mentally, emotionally and morally sick people in all professions, economic levels, races and creeds.

Children should be taught to be vocal and decisive in the face of discomfort with anyone. Girls are always raised to be nice, to share, and to be giving. Children are raised to not talk back or be disrespectful to authority figures. They need to know where to draw the line-even with authority figures.

This case was summarily set aside by the Judge.. The case was subsequently withdrawn due to a lack of corroborating evidence and willing witnesses. General confessions of impropriety were given by Earl Paulk but the extensive accusations in this news report were without merit and the accusers were forced to withdraw... Channel 5 news never retracted the story or gave a follow up to correct the errors that were reported fact.

Oh, there is an update. The case has been re-filed adding Pastor Lynn Mays, who is my former pastor, as a co-defendant. I am seeing things that I suspected then now coming to the surface. Anyone who knows Mona Brewer knows her to be a very sincere person. I am just so sorry that she trusted him to the degree that she did. I am now miles away. Thank goodness. But to all involved, this is the one of the results of putting a "man" before GOD. Worship God, not a man.

jeff, am I to understand that because the accusers were forced to withdraw due to lack of evidence that the accusations are baseless? It's extremely difficult to prove accusation of sexual abuse when there is no physical evidence. However, it does not mean the accusations are false. All corroborated evidence including Paulk's confession, points to the fact that this man is guilty of at the very least being a liar, deviant and sexual predator.
