Being a victim of partner abuse, this was a hard story. I am very happy the boy was placed with his aunt and uncle. It was the best for him and his future. I do sympathy's with the other grandparents. Their son is the murderer, and yes they raised him. But that does not account for all of his behavior, he is a grown man. I would like to think people could be mature enough to let the grandparents have supervised visitations. Its so sad to see children with know one to love them. Think of them.
In this case Andrew had someone to fight for him, the problem is what about the children who don't. The governments need to start thinking with their brains and doing what is right for the child not the parent. Esp. one that kills their wife. I worked out in the end but for so many it doesn't

No they don't. The grandparent best interest was getting revenge by den the decedent's family visitation, and obeying their son's commands. Besides, it's obvious they would fill the child w/ hatred about his mother. And children shouldn't be exposed to a prison environment.
i thought it would be more of a criminal thriller ... to me it tried way too hard to be a tear jerker. so not my thing! the luminol scene was cool though! thanks for the post!

This was also a good book written by Peter Maas. Goes into more details of everything that happened. In the end, I think Dr. Kenneth Taylor got what he brought onto himself. It was good the Beningo family got custody of the child in the end.

Very sad movie. It's good to know that when times get real tough, God always sends his angels to pick us right up. I think he knows how much we really can handle and it's good to know that no matter what, he is the greatest justice system.
I remember this film since I first saw it 20 years ago when I was 7, just returning to the States after five years in Germany (my father was in the U.S. Army). As I got older and still watching it, I love the quality of acting and the emotion the story brings. I wish this film/mini-series have a official release on DVD soon, along with Valerie's other films.

wow this movie touches my heart and my soul.. I think it tells you how evil someone can be. This poor kid got his mother taken away from him as a little baby, and then all the back and forth... I am happy Angela and her husband got to adopt him, he deserved it, and they deserved it. it was in the best interest of the child, he should have been with them ever since his mother was found... The care system failed. We are supposed to protect our children, they should not be anywhere near a jail.
