@Batmaaaan23 No vegeta and trunks was still super sayians. Only Gohan was SSJ2. All Vegeta and Trunks did was expand their bodies similar to what master roshi does. Even Cell said it wasn't impressive after Trunks expanded Cell showed him anyone could do that and Cell did the same thing and got bulky muscles. @KmanGrady34 Sorry, but your mistaken. Vegeta definitely transforms into SS2 at this point, and I'll prove it. Vegeta's transformation makes him an "ascended saiyan" which is the same thing as SS2. This is confirmed in episode 230 when Goku demonstrates the three levels of Super Saiyan to Majin Buu and Babidi. When Goku easily powers up to SS2 he says "this is what as known as a Super Saiyan that has ascended past a Super Saiyan. Or, you could just call this a Super Saiyan 2."

There are no in-between forms. There are, however, wide ranges of how strong and fast a certain Super Saiyan can be, which was the case in the Cell saga. SS2 Vegeta was the weakest in the Cell saga, Trunks was stronger but slow, and Gohan "did it right" according to Trunks with speed AND strength.

Thus the phrase "did it right" since they did it wrong.

@riahmatic If your still not convinced, know that there is no SS1 that can beat Perfect Cell. That is why when Trunks got bulky in SS2 form, Cell admitted that Trunks was actually stronger, but made the huge mistake of being so slow, and assured Trunks that he could not win. As I said earlier, Gohan's SS2 kept the strength but was not bulky and had the speed required to win. That is why Trunks said "Gohan did it right."

Goku shows you FOUR forms of a Saiyan: normal, SS1, SS2, and SS3. He obviously can't go into Great Ape form since he has no tail at the time. And DBGT didn't exist yet, but when you watch it you will see SS4. Those are the only SIX forms. "Super," "mystic," "perfect," "ultra," etc are just NICKNAMES for any of these six forms. @Cybercoin No, Vegeta was SS2. That was the whole point of Vegeta and Trunks going into the hyperbolic time chamber, to find a level above SS1 so they could defeat Cell. When Vegeta encounters the 2nd stage of Cell on the island, Vegeta powers up to an "ascended saiyan" which is SS2. On that note, Trunks is also able to turn SS2 at this point in time, but he does it wrong by sacrificing speed for power, which is why he can't kill Cell. Only Gohan does it right, thus defeating Perfect Cell later.

By the 60's, he could punch holes in the time space continuum. In the end though, Goku would probably have the upper hand over 90% of Supermans.

@riahmatic If your still not convinced, know that there is no SS1 that can beat Perfect Cell. That is why when Trunks got bulky in SS2 form, Cell admitted that Trunks was actually stronger, but made the huge mistake of being so slow, and assured Trunks that he could not win. As I said earlier, Gohan's SS2 kept the strength but was not bulky and had the speed required to win. That is why Trunks said "Gohan did it right."

@soldato101 Plus, your the one who needs to learn since you can't distinguish real from fake. Allow me to teach you what is real. Go to episode 230. Goku shows you FOUR forms of a Saiyan: normal, SS1, SS2, and SS3. He obviously can't go into Great Ape form since he has no tail at the time. And DBGT didn't exist yet, but when you watch it you will see SS4. Those are the only SIX forms. "Super," "mystic," "perfect," "ultra," etc are just NICKNAMES for any of these six forms. @Cybercoin No, Vegeta was SS2. That was the whole point of Vegeta and Trunks going into the hyperbolic time chamber, to find a level above SS1 so they could defeat Cell. When Vegeta encounters the 2nd stage of Cell on the island, Vegeta powers up to an "ascended saiyan" which is SS2. On that note, Trunks is also able to turn SS2 at this point in time, but he does it wrong by sacrificing speed for power, which is why he can't kill Cell. Only Gohan does it right, thus defeating Perfect Cell later.

@RavensOfMyFuneral Honestly, it's hard to compare, especially considering how messed up the Superman chronology is these days. In the 30's, he had only the most basic super strength. By the 60's, he could punch holes in the time space continuum. In the end though, Goku would probably have the upper hand over 90% of Supermans.
