Cool decorative piece. The tang is a threaded rod, maybe 1/4' welded to a slab of 440. It is extremely easy to break. I broke one. Well, the pommel snapped on the inside.(It's hollow and screws onto the tang) Also, even though Cloud was never a member of Soldier, he was still infused with Mako in the basement of Shinra Manor. Zack escaped with the comatose Cloud. Its been years so i forget when and how you trigger the cutscene in the basement of Shinra Manor, but it is all explained in FF7.

@earmeaters Cloud wasn't in Soldier. He was just a Shinra infantry troop. He inherited the Buster Sword from Zack. If you play FF 7 Crisis Core , it will tell you the story.

The thing I'm noticing about these swords it the lack of thickness. All of them are thin which could cause wobbling. I'm just guessing though.

@xXIKE455Xx Its supposedly weighs about 15 pounds, but it feels way heaver. You could never swing this thing around with one hand. Cloud was on steroids xD And you probably wouldnt want to buy this one anyway because the handle is kinda broken. You can still lift it up but the handle is about to break I think. I got this for $150 but I saw it on ebay not too long ago for even cheaper. If you want I can PM you a link to some listings I find on ebay.

this sword isnt even real sized. get the 7foot 40 pound one i own its razor sharp and takes a real man to weld it

@tsunayoshi3 Its a little wobbly but its really heavy so swinging it around probably isnt a good idea anyway. But the blade part seems pretty secure. If you hit a tree with it it probably wouldnt break right away.
