  • *TV explodes* AWESOME!!

*the fine print* Now buy a new one.

  • Oh my God.. this brings back so many memories of sitting around all night, hacking away and discovering new codes for my favorite games!! Oh good times!! :)

  • Yes, it's an homage to B&T.

  • Reminds me of Bill & Ted from Bill & Ted's EXCELLENT Adventure....

  • Game Genie: officially endorsed by imitation Wyld Stallyns.

  • What year did this commercial come out?

  • There is no GG codes for Treasure Master! :(

And that is a HARD game!

  • is that the same tv that the avgn has?

  • Hey, I own a game genie, and I thank it for beating Blaster Master(Better persistence and wits to pwn the Lvl 5 boss), Xexyz, Zelda II: The Adventures of Link, and Batman for NES. The reason I got a Game Genie is because my friend who owns a Turbo Grafx-16 has one.

  • Game Genie, only used for near impossible games to complete

    Friday The 13th

    Every Nes Simpsons game.

    Dr. Jekyll & Mr Hyde

    Ghostbusters

  • "Gotoanyleveljumphigherstaybiggerliveforever"

Early 90s/Late 80s Advertising of all products/services/religions distilled into three seconds.

  • Go watch the Youttube series Awesome Video Games, It almost seems like they completely based that show around this commercial.

  • Why was there always a blond douchebag in 95 percent of video game and board commercials back then?

  • who would have known Bill and Ted advertised the game genie O.o

  • video laged in epic tv expolsion

  • You know when Nintendo did a new version of the NES in the late 90's, it was half red and white, and you inserted cartridges from the top(not the side)? I found out that the MAIN reason they made that, was because Game Genie wouldn't work on it. They apparently hated the game genie. I liked it though, some games were so hard that even using normal cheat codes wouldn't even help you beat it.

  • @SpikeLanta Yeah, it's true. Nintendo actually sued Galoob in the early 90's to try to stop them from creating the Game Genie. Nintendo lost the lawsuit, so what they did, especially on the SNES, was they would make 2 versions of a game so that some GG codes would work on one but not the other. You'd almost never know the difference between the 2 versions playing each version of the game. They did it to try to keep Galoob from coming up with codes for their games.

  • Change LEVELS????

  • EXCELLEEEEEEEEENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Award winning acting...

  • The radical video game enhancMER ?

  • why is it that all unlicensed video game commercials have lightning effects?

  • @LeoFan93 because your level of fun affects the pixels of the game that are sent to the tv cathode and cause an explosion from hyper light because you almost saw 2 seconds of your future life

  • @SABRENOSE MY BRAIN HURTS!

  • @LeoFan93 See Sega Saturn commercial for symptoms

  • This is radical dude

  • Dear late 80's-early 90's. I miss you. This commercial really captures the zeitgeist of that time.

  • every time i use my game genie my t.v explodes... so now i have 89 t.v's in my room so i can play one our :D

  • Now I see where did the "Awesome Video Games" guys took their looks from

  • stay bigger?

    sign me up.

  • If my TV exploded from using a Game Genie, I would be beaten so much by my parents...

  • Awesome, since when did Bill and Ted sell Game genies?

  • Man, it looks like the stereotypical image for a popular 80's teenager was a surfer dude, now I think it's been replaced by a gangsta wannabe.

  • @micc0x Bill and Ted, bro.

  • @micc0x And personally, I'd much rather the stoner surfer stereotype.

  • @micc0x Nope, that stereotype is still here. Do you listen to Wavves?

  • What we know today class as a "cheat"

  • RADICAL FIREPOWER!

  • Just radical.

  • holy shit extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeme bro

  • They're like Bill & Ted on crack!

  • I always thought these guys were Bill & Ted? When I watched Bill & Ted, I kept on looking for the game genie!

  • I have little doubt that the guys in this video were inspired by Bill & Ted or at least by the "surfer bum" personality that was very popular at the time ... for some reason.

  • the should have shortened the ad to just 10 seconds, and all it had to say was

"BOUGHT CONTRA? THEN YOU'LL NEED THIS BITCH."

  • With it you can beat the most impossible games like Ghostbusters or Dragon's Lair

  • i wonder what these two dudes are now....what would you tell your friends, family? lol

  • they look high seriously

  • lol

  • Those dudes remind me of 'Bill & Ted,' LOL!

    Nice retro-ad!

  • They make cheating look radical!

  • EXTREEEEEEEEEEEEEME

  • I cannot believe that there was an actual commercial!!!!!!! I think Nintendo saw it and considered it as a hacking device.

  • RADICAL!!!!!1elleven

  • wow gamer/stoner/surfer/rockers

  • Yo videogame dudes, talk to me

  • Yo videogame dudes, talk to me

  • RADICLE!! D: lmao

  • Is that Bill and Ted?

  • No, but that as the image they were looking for.

  • Radical!

  • AHAHAhaha i remember that commercial! XD

  • lol! What Game Genie code makes your tv explode?

  • the OMGIGD code (tranlation):Oh My God Im Gunna Die!!!!

  • @TaiFerret It is"NES SUCKS"because,NES hate this words about him :D
