I am not a fan of anyone's, I just don't have respect for teams who thug recruit. Texas is a thug recruiter and I don't like them. USC is corrupt, with this going on CFB is pointless. ND sucks becuse they have such high standards no players can get into the school. All of this makes CFB less and less competitive.
All teams have a few select players that do not follow the rules. It's not just TX and USC, and calling them thugs is just plain asinine. CA and TX are two of the largest recruiting bases in the nation and the best players come from those areas. Lots of the kids they recruit are great student athletes. But Notre dame has the better program overall. they have more heisman winners, more All-Americans, and more national championships then Texas has. Being that NBC has the majority of the Irish games it only stands to reason that ole Keith would side with the Longhorns. He and Griese really tried to do a number on the national championship hopes of Nebraska in 97. ABC did the Rose Bowl between Washington St. and Michigan. Big Red and the Volunteers were scheduled to play in the Orange Bowl (CBS) the next day. I lost a little respect for him that day.

My fiance and I were at this game. 50 yard line seats and what an experience. The Texas crowd was as loud as I have ever heard them. The game was almost perfectly played by both teams. It was a classic. One of the best regular season Notre Dame games I have ever seen! Simply fantastic.

Can you believe Notre Dame beat Texas, at Texas, with Ron Pawlas (sp?) at quarterback? Love it. I miss the days when ND could have an average QB and still win because of over-all talent and coaching. Brian Kelly is going to bring back the days of tough, competitive ND football.

College Ball is about academics and sports not just sports. With that said over the last 35 years, ND has had a 93 percent graduation rate, Texas is below 40 percent. That to me is Pathetic ! Hell with that graduation rate anyone with money could build a good team. Keep that in mind when Texas losses the Bowl Game this year. More than half of the players wont even graduate.

Guess What both of those teams would die to play Notre Dame. Even with ND's rankings they will still draw a bigger audience than Texas vs Noname. College football is about representing the school in academics and in Athletic ability. Notre Dame has 99 percent graduation rate. Can you say the same for Florida or Texas, or even USC. If its just about talent than lets make an even playing field and let anyone play for college teams. Than we will see who has the best team.

Thats the problem with CFB not only do you have teams that play weak schedules IE Texas, but you have teams that have different academic standards. Its like comparing Harvard with Texas. To say Texas is any better than TCU or Boise State is just plain stupid. If you are und you are und, and you should not be penalized by your schedule. so they should have a play off series. All teams have a few select players that do not follow the rules. It's not just TX and USC, and calling them thugs is just plain asinine. CA and TX are two of the largest recruiting bases in the nation and the best players come from those areas. Lots of the kids they recruit are great student athletes. It just sounds as if you're bitter to the fact that your team isn't so hot these days, heck maybe YOU couldn't make it at college ball.

Its called College Football its not the NFL. When you go to college and are offered a scholarship you are suppose to graduate with a degree. At Texas Less than 4.2 players graduate per 10 players. Colt McCoy is an outstanding quaterback, with a big arm and very quick footspeed. But Notre dame has the better program overall. they have more heisman winners, more All-Americans, and more national championships then Texas has. They also have a winning record against Texas, as well as every other team in the Big 12. Recently, Texas has been the better team, but overall Notre Dame is still the better program hands down

Jackson usually had a problem with universities that were not under contract with ABC. Being that NBC has the majority of the Irish games it only stands to reason that ole Keith would side with the Longhorns. He and Griese really tried to do a number on the national championship hopes of Nebraska in 97. ABC did the Rose Bowl between Washington St. and Michigan. Big Red and the Volunteers were scheduled to play in the Orange Bowl (CBS) the next day. I lost a little respect for him that day.

Texas has more money than ND, better facilities, is located in a better town, has more alumni, has won something in the past decade, and is one of the top 5 programs in the country. Typical NotreDame fan, arrogant, yes you are. I could care less about your titles (that you haven't in over 21 years) and heismans, big whoop. TX has had many great teams dating back to the 1910s! There's more players that do things that Colt, and NO I watch espn all day either but I do keep up with the program. You won a Nat'l Championship a few yrs ago...big whoop...That was the first one in how long? How long was Texas not even nationally relevant? For YOUR information, ppl have been seeing MY school as the football mecca for several reasons. 1). More wins in the past 10 seasons than that of any other school 2). 11 straight post-season appearances 3). Sales and budget higher than you can count. Yes, Texas was down in the late 80's and early 90's, but look at the past 11 years and prior to that the all the years leading up to the mid 80s, while we were competing each year for the NC, get over yourself.

Notre Dame is the most recognized NCAA football team in the world. Do the research, we sell more gear than anyone else worldwide, have more Titles... more Heisman winners, and a fucking movie based off one of our players. Look at all the Hall of Famers in the NFL who call themselves Notre Dame alumni. We created Joe Montana for fucks sake. Texas is very good these days... but you are a fucking idiot if you want to put them on the same level as ND historically.

Look, I've got no beef with Texas. You've got a rich history, a number of classic match-ups with ND, and sometimes very classy fans. Mack Brown is all class too, and Vince Young helped get ND their justice on the Trojans in 05. It's fans like you who run their mouth that make me wonder.

My fiance and I were at this game. 50 yard line seats and what an experience. The Texas crowd was as loud as I have ever heard them. The game was almost perfectly played by both teams. It was a classic. One of the best regular season Notre Dame games I have ever seen! Simply fantastic.
