  • nice job...5 years ago, wow!

  • Don't wanna sound like an asshole but you're out of tempo.

    Good effort though

  • your wrist just went out of place dude

  • @izzbiz12 ?

  • @izzbiz12 im new to drumming and im trying to figure out the correct hand posture, so is it correct for palms to face downward all the time? cuz i have seen people hitting ride cymbal while having their right palms facing the left side, and some ppl hitting ride with their palms facing down.

  • @shortshortdi There's really no right or wrong. For most, hitting the right side of the bell on the ride is just uncomfortable as all hell. I always strike the left side, palm somewhat down. Trick is to have your fingers do as much of the job as possible. The grip is far more important than how your hand is angled. Grip the stick at the balance point of the stick with your thumb and forefinger, and never close the gap between the side of your thumb and your hand. Loose but tight.

  • @ELX222 He's saying you use the snare a lot, that's all

  • Yep, had the TDW-1 installed. Miss the kit!

  • Do you have the TDW-1 expansion installed? Or is this run just on the original sounds

  • Axxis, youre a dipshit, it's fancy rudimentary work AND it's within time. nice chops dude.

  • really cool man. i like what your doing here. from 1 drummer to another, keep it up. your damn good.

  • 0:00 - 1:12 => best part in this video. just amazing and the backgroundmusic with the drumming sounds sooo cool!!

  • nice

  • Sounds good. But really, get some grooves in the first few tracks! The first tracks seemed perfect for a lovely groove

  • weird way you hold the sticks

  • niceee dudeee

  • Check RHYTHMTANDEM for another great innovation.

  • 5:15 .. u ate dat track homie ..

    i was feelin that

  • How old r u? nice drumming! i love ur set up :)

  • anyone selling a roland td6 with mesh snare please contact me thanks

  • I like your style man. Nice.

  • Great! Hello I'm from Argentina and I have de same Roland TD-8. I wanted to ask you which is te best choise to amplify it. In argentina V-Drums Amplifiers are not sold, and when I use my band's PA System it sound really BAD. Thanks!

  • GREAT SOUND

  • Sounds great! ...

  • I like your Jazz Fuzion style.

  • that was pretty sweet but with ur style it would look some much cooler if u played traditonal grip. just my opinion.

  • GREAT

  • Is there anyway of getting electrick drums like these for like 3300 euros

  • Absolutely. I got a Roland set with 14" snare (I think) that looks like that set except I haven't bought the additional crashcymbal. It costs prolly about 2k euros

  • can you tell me if your roland set was td-12 ?.

I want the tom sizes be like in this video :)

  • No it's td-6, didn't know they made bigger sized toms aswell, kinda fancy

  • yes I know :)...

I think they make the big tom sizes in 12".

    And the smaller 8".

Anyways I am buyng td-9 cause its cheap, good and usable.

  • Money well spent :)

  • no i know theres a snare, i was taking the piss cus u use it so much, aha

  • He uses a td 6 modul.

Nice way to safe money. I think it sounds as good as the td 12 and td 20 modul.

  • hahaha why bother paying 5K for a damn TD 20.. Ide get a TD6 anyday.. They seem more easier to play on anyways.. :D

  • Exactly

  • Plus TD6 is way cheaper.. I can probably get one for 600$ used :D

  • If you're talking about me, your wrong. Its an expanded TD10 module, and the td6 is nowhere near as good as the 10, 12, or 20 live or recorded.....

  • Sorry :P.

It just sounds so much like the td6 because it has alot of the sets a td 6 has.

  • How the songs/play alongs start when you plays?

  • ?? I'm not to sure what you mean, but some samples are triggered by cymbals and pads - and some i press a play button to start...

  • nice. coulda used more cymbals though.

  • i hav dat :)

  • nice!

  • The sound is distorted.

  • at 4:18 was great. i liked the tradtional stuff more than the FX. anyone want to trade an amp for one of those sets :)

  • nice $5,000 set

  • that aint 5,000$ its more like 1,000$ or 800$ you can get a good deal if you know people or get lucky and find them really cheaper than 5k!

  • It might be cheap, like under 1k if you steal it. But yea, they do sell for 4k (keeping in mind im aussie so talking in AUD). The rrp on them was 10k +, but if you can get a full expanded td10 for $800 aud let me know where....

  • hehehe I aint getting a TD10 im getting a TD6 from some guy in usa.. there is a guy in mass that ive been talking to.. hes selling a TD6 for 650$ im gonna buy them from him and then save up for a MIDI cable and play online :D oh and you have a friend now by the way ill subscribe to your vids!

  • I agree with the comment about your timing. You have an excellent sense of rhythm. Hope you are in a band though, because the one thing I can tell you is that no amount of playing alone or along to demos and samples will adequately prepare you for the real world of gigs and other musicians. More power to you, but the most important thing is to get out there and play!

  • Nice!

The second part was redicolous! xD

  • nice drumming man! I wish I had a drum set like that!=]

  • your not so bad at this kit, youd be great on a big set

  • This video is very interesting. It's a good demo of what the TD-10 can do.

  • i love the toms at the start, nice sound, and well done!

  • i like ur style well dun

  • Sweet

  • cool....like the demo from you ELX222.....good job!

  • hi, i recently got a td8 and im having trouble with the bass drum moving away from me even with the spikes out. any helpful tips?

  • what kit is at 2 40??????????????

  • Hey question, I wanna get an Electronic drum set But I dont know what one is the best one and I dont want to be fooled and a crappy one I need some adivce on which one is the best one to get from Roland cause im saving up for one.. Thanks and Great job !!!

  • Basically, if your in the market for an e-kit do as much research as you can and read as many reviews on as you can find. The lower end roland and yamaha kits can be a bit useless but basically it comes down to how much you want to spend. Look for something with mesh heads if you can afford it, and look for features like dual / triple trigger cymbals and pads which allow rimshots, cross stick, brushes, rolls etc. I'd start by checking out yamaha, roland, and hart dynamics respective websites.

  • Well, I pretty much wanna spend like around a 1000$ for one cause I can probably get a good deal from one of my friends thats in the music industry cause he has a nice electronic drum set plus I might save 1100$ to get an extra base drum pedal for more kick.. But I think my friend can probably give me a good deal *wink wink* LOL... Oh well.. Nice playing and thanks for the comment back Stay Metal bro \m/ ^^ \m/

  • hey numbnuts, nice job using a rock beat with jazz and breaking time like crazy. to be honest, my 7 year old nephew keeps better time then you.

  • Hey fucktard! You dug your own grave but i'm happy to fill it in for you. If your seven year old nephew can play better than me i'm confused as to why i haven't heard of him? Because that would quite literally make him one of, if not the, best drummer in the world for his age. Theres very few parts of that video in which i am out of time. Maby learn how to count through triplets, displaced and polyrhythms and then you might be able to realise why your wrong. People like you should be culled.

  • Great playing dude, didn't hear anything wrong with your timing, sounded impeccable. Yeah its tough for a lot of people to feel the timing in fill-heavy improvisation. Its hard sometimes to tell where the "one" is in a particular groove, like the one at 1:35. I can see why it could be difficult to follow that one. However when you said you played polyrhythms I was looking forward to seeing it, didnt hear any in there. Anyways, great kit, great drummer, great vid.

  • WHAT KIT IS AT 2:40???

i have a td 10 and i want to know! lol it sounds so real

  • Do your wrists ever hurt using the mesh heads? I'd check into some RET Percussion sets.

  • MikeyVPT, do your fingers ever get tired of your fanboy-like advertising of RET? I'd check in to some getting a life and/or growing up.

  • just uploaded a video of me on my td10 improvising to the 7/8 funk jam. have a look when you get a chance. great playing. how do you input your own loops?

  • Nice playing, but I just miss a steady beat/groove...

Let us feel some of that base too!

  • nice chops buts where the fucks your beats at?

  • Wow, i need to practice my fills. your great. Where'd you get your set, and whats the price range?

  • Usually around 1000$

  • hey love it all, sounds pretty damn cool m8 love the drums sounds too

any chance you could, do a vid showing how to play the part in clip 1:35 - 2:03

    thanks very much :)

  • Hey man, thanks for the comment. Basically in that part the left foot is playing straight quarter notes on the hats. The snare part is pretty much just groupings of different rudiments, things like 5 stroke rolls. I played the kick, (which triggers that bass sound) syncopated over the hats when i was also accenting the snare. I have got my acoustic kit set up atm - so ill record some more stuff in the next few days and stick it up along with an extended version of that part. Thanks all!

    Tom

  • oh awesome thanks very much m8 helped a lot :)

    keep doign the vids :)

  • Sounds good. Those breakdowns you were doing in the beginning sounded good, but I would go back into a beat to give some relief and get a groove back... just me though. Nice chops. I want one of those.

  • very nice but the sound came out disorted.

  • Whoa, that kit sounds a lot better than my D12s. Nice playing, too.

  • Dude, I have a TD-10 as well. They kick ass eh?

  • abacacus, td-20=£5,000,td-12=£2500 'these 2 kit are far n away the best out there, worth every penny.

  • how about canadian dollars mate?

  • y does the vid lag? nice grooves

  • how much was the set? im asking because i want one.

  • these things are a lotta fun =]

  • the TD drum kits are excellent creation tools

Funny groove, you're skilled mate , keep up practicing , it's gonna sound professional soon !

  • very nice improv, looks fun

  • Needs work, but the kit is awesome!

  • love the groove, can tell you got alot years of drumming under you belt.

  • Oh the six stroke rolls might have gotten you to...

  • I didnt lose count once, its called playing over the bar, and things like paradiddle triplets are what makes the so-called "change in speed". Oh the displacements from inversions and stuff might also sound like i've "lost count" if you don't know anything about drums - which from that comment i assume you do...

  • stay at one speed man and don't lose count
