god i wish that phish would just invite amon tobin & animal collective to play at their festival. can't even imagine how much more popular some super psychedelic acts woulld be when they walked out of that place with that captive audience.
I don't know. The drums are actually pretty intricate, I could call them easy, like at all, even though it's three drums. Each hit is planned out and timed absolutely perfect.
I agree...love how it all three compilations are done together one after another for one F***ing epic set/song...Panda is the sh*it....Voices are amazing..Geologist full of energy and the hypnotizing sound you cant help but be swept up by it..PEACE!
idk, i'd rather listen to them sober, it allows me to deepen my "music heart" into Animal Collective's soul haha. I really get into the music sober and it feels amazing. but when i'm high, everything gets amplified, which is good, but I'm still dozing off and thinking about stupid shit :p
I would like for you to be tripping your fucking ass off on an extremely large and unneeded quantity of LSD, listen to Animal Collective, from Campfire Songs, to Merriweather, and Strawberry Jam. Even My True Colors. Then come back and tell me that they didn't bury themselves into the deepest part of your soul. They are fucking glorious but your head is shoved too far up your ass that everything you hear is muffled.
this band is complete garbage... i wish i could be cool hipsters like the rest of you and pretend this band has something musical to offer. but they don't ever thing about this song is utter garbage. the guy whining in the beginning playing shitty chords on the guitar the drummers skill less repition. The synth that might as well not be there because its so unimportant all add up to the heaping pile of filth that is animal collective.
@vector2g They're a pretty good band man. They've played a lot of music, I would give some other stuff a listen before you say that. You're bound to find some studio stuff that you like, they have so much of it.
lovely version! how they improvise maybe, and how they dont mess around and make it sound like some abstract thing i never heard. it sounds like the actual song, with different lyrics for a bit. lovely!!!
he is, but avey tare is, somehow, the unsung hero of the band. his voice is far beyond the range of panda bears, its really not comparable. panda may sing with a more aesthetically pleasing sound, but avey has the pipes, and the ability to write very complex sounds.
I had to let you know, I accidentally clicked thumbs down on this, but I didn't mean to. I would be extremely excited for you. I saw them june, 2 days after I graduated from high school, and I skipped the ceremony so I could finally experience them live. That in combination with my life made it THE most memorable experience of my life. I get chills just listening to their live stuff.
Sorry, but I had to let you know that there isn't someone out there in disapproval of your potentially good exp.
I'm seeing AC live in May. I need to know if this is the kind of concert that I would feel safe bringing my girlfriend to. I would be okay with close contact because that's unavoidable, but generally the fans who would bother paying for a ticket would be a little more relaxed than a fan of Rise Against, for example, correct? Like are there huge mosh pits or is it more like just a constant hop up and down sort of feeling?
ive been thinking about the same thing. i havent been to a show but ive watched a lot of videos and ive always just seen the crowds just jumping up and down never moshing
Yeah... If that was the case I would be perfectly fine. She's just really short and I'm afraid with a lot of commotion we would get separated. Haha... Well, from the looks of it I think it will be fine. And either way, I'm not going to let that get in the way of having a KICKASS time. Haha
I've only seen them once, but I cannot imagine craziness like moshing. There will be probably occasional surges of pushes forward and back, and no personal space. But you just gotta get into the music and it will be all right.
I love to watch this live when i've just take lots of weed or pharma-drugs
