Judge Quotamayor is right about Scalia's ruling in the Heller case. It wasn't as pro gun as talk radio would like you to think. I would recommend reading The Heller Misdirection, by William Norman Grigg.

basically she's saying felons shouldn't be able to lawfully obtain firearms. I'm a nra member, but I don't necessarily disagree with her. If you are convicted a violent crime with a gun like say robbing, GTA, or attempted murder maybe you lose that right; although I would stress that any such law excludes protest, or any defensive use. Other than that my only criticism is that gun restrictions only affect law-abiding citizens and the more gun restrictions you make the more criminals you make.

The government does not run the people. The people are suppose to run the government. I've heard talks about revolutions that may take place. If that happens, first thing needing to be done is making the bill of rights 2nd amentant a law that no one can abolish.
