The Geneva conventions state very clearly how these "detainees" are to be treated and ultimately tried it just takes a little reading. Suspected saboteurs etc. are to be treated the same as Prisoners of War until an appropriate tribunal is convened. That means respect for human dignity . Habeas Corpus is a basic human right: the right to confront one's accusers. Carl Rove is in Austin, Texas now: I thought the smell was just the new Sewage Treatment facility.

To claim that these detainees were captured on a battlefield is an extraordinary claim. Many of these detainees were purchased from the N Alliance for $2500/ea, and the Bushwhackers have no evidence that they belonged to any group. If this "enemy combatant" program hadn't been conducted with such negligence, the Supremes would likely have not ever been involved. The more info that comes out, the uglier it gets.
