@thea..it was zucchini sliced thin with cut up cucumbers and carrots and ground cauliflower to simulate rice..you could make a raw dipping sauce I like to use carrot and ginger dressing..Sometimes, I use nori sheets, but I won't eat nori b/c I don't like anything from the sea..but my kids like them and my husband sometimes.
@MichelleMischa sure, Sorry I am getting back to you so late. the tabuli salad was hopped parsley, some leek, chopped mint and celery tomatoes and cucumbers then sqeezed 5 lemons and that is that. and then the maranara sauce was tomatoes, fresh and then some dehydrated ones and one basil leaf and some oregano , thyme and a few dates/ or mangos...a sliver of leek. That is all:)
Beautiful presentation. I love the kids in the background, kids are so free and wild in the bath - we should be more like them during bathtime! Adults need to let loose too, smile. You did a beautiful job thought with presentation - was all that food for you only???
thanks! No it was for all of us! We really enjoyed it! i gotta start making dinners like that again! i lost my way...but now I am back! hopefully this time for good! How are you doing btw? oh, i am free like that in my shower.i sing to the top of my lungs!lol preferably when no one is home! i am a singer.soon I will post some songs!
The main dish is simply gorgeous, like total catering presentation style. I love the romaine leafs plunging out. They look so crunchy! I bet you sing a riot in the shower, I can tell you have a fun, upbeat personality : ) I remember watching a video you and your husband did awhile back about his raw lifestyle and you interacted so cute together. Anyhow, best of luck in getting your way back - it's still there, maybe just taking a nap but still there. I am well, Glory to God for my healing! xoxo
I saw Mike at the end shove a whole head of romaine in his mouth. I am guessing he just finished a run. Can you get him to maybe make a video of his just eating romaine. I still can believe he can eat a head of lettuce in 10 minutes or less. That still blows me away. Every time I am eating romaine I try it and cannot eat it that fast.
BTW, when I made my tabouli, from the recipe you gave me it came out way to watery. I wonder what I did wrong.
Hey, yeah i will try to get that on a vid one day. Um about the tabuli; how many lemons are you putting inside and how big is the salad? I make it huge for obvious reasons and use 3 lemons and i really don't chop to finely with the cucumbers b/c they get too watery. the more watery the veggie the less chopped it should be. Hence the cauliflower and the parsley get chopped very fine if you desire it that way! Mint oo:)
i am eating whole unprocessed foods all the time and this evening i had a avocado-tomato dressing on my romaine lettuce. it was tasty but its not a longterm option for me. I think if u get into food preparation you re not letting go your old eating habits 100%. if the foods u eat are not tasty enough to eat unprocessed one at a time they re not tasty enough and or your taste buds are still regenerating and or you just think u cant enjoy the as much when u eat them whole one at a time, u re wrong
you have a point...but i am transitioning and just getting started..my husband is at that stage, but enjoys when we mix up a salad too:) simple is best I would agree with you on that. sometimes you get bored and miss the old stuff, so that is why i posted it:)
yeah, but life gets a bit to boring that way don't ya think? This whole lifestyle is a big step fro me, b/c I really used to be very socail and now I find it hard to be around the foods that i used to love without eating them with friends and fam. regardless of how healthy i think it is. i wish that were not a fact but it is in my case. This vid is for ppl like me that need a bit more creativity without the fat:)
Thanks dniell48:) Well, it was kinds for the whole familiy, but my husband and I really went to twon with eating it...We have it every night..the thing is, it only really tastes good when it is fresh..so I end up making that dinner like every night. Not getting sick of it, b/c we really really love it! It rocks right? Glad you enjoyed it. i will post more!
I tried the tabouli and it was great. I think I should have put in more tomato but it was still good. Was that meal for your whole family? Thank you, post more food ideas, I love it.
