I like Microsoft Office 2008 better, the icons, and just the looks of it. NeoOffice and OpenOffice are too much like a Windows program, like Microsoft Office 2003. I wouldn't mind having NeoOffice or OpenOffice on my Windows PCs but I wouldn't want to use it on my Mac..
I have Microsoft Office 2007 for Windows (Home and Student) and with Lockerz PayPal money I'm going to get Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac.. 2011 is ugly it's got weird icons, glitchy Outlook and it's nothing like Windows ribbons.
thanks. i couldnt find out how to get word. my hard drive crashed and i had it on my old hard drive. i didnt want to pay $800 to transfer my information. thanks
lol I love how he put them in order by color....I also have the full Adobe suite but I only have photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, Flash, DreamWeaver, and Premier Pro on my Dock since I use them the most...
Hey man Great Job going through and explaining every different Program and what not HD looks good and the sound is great and sync in case you wanted to know. also I have used neo office in the past and I have to say I prefer Open Office don't really have a reason I just do well anyway Keep up the Great Work I'll ttyl

It seems like a fantastic video except for the fact that it is out of focus.
I was unable to learn anything as my new/old mac doesnt have sound.
So all I got was, that this would have been an excellent video if it was 'IN FOCUS' and you moved the cursor only to the place you were teaching.

Draw is an alternative to Publisher, and to some extent, Visio, not really Paint
Database is an alternative to Access, and it probably is to advanced for someone looking to store recipes

would it read office documents?
i.e. if i have a word document or a power point presentation would i be able to open it and edit it?
rsxspecv 2 years ago
I believe it can but don't take my word for it
just download it and try it and if it doesn't work just download the trials of office
live4mac 2 years ago
@rsxspecv It's made from the same people who made OpenOffice which can read all of those so... yes it can.
