  • Green Laser - Grande! Wagalawaja - Hojotojo! Gold, Woglinde Gold, garstig glattes Gold! - Heiaha weia, ECSTASY!!!

  • the daughter of the rhein have to be sexy. And i think in this barenboim kupfer version they are !

  • Oh, yes! This is a tasty treatment of "Rheingold."

  • Anima e precisione.Immenso

  • I recently watched the 1956 Republic Pictures biographical movie of Wagner entitled "Magic Fire". I enjoy it every time I see it. There is, in one of the last scenes, something Cosima says to her father, Franz Liszt, about Richard that is so true. Any time I listen to his music or hear his leitmotifs in my mind, I think about this; it doesn't matter what he ever said or what he thought of himself or how he treated others or his beliefs & behavior or even what Nazis did with his music... it is

  • @iamrwg2u Yes, for a schlock bio-pic "Magic Fire" is tremendous. I came across that one on some "Insomniac Theatre" 3:00 AM TV broadcast when I was about 6... I've been a complete Opera addict and Wagnerite ever since.

  • I just want to point out that in 28.1 thousand views no one has "disliked" it.

  • Look as those green lights... I was half-expecting Keanu Reeves to jump out and shout "my name - is - NEO!"

  • This whole gigantic masterfully written cycle of Wagner should already have been posted on YouTube for the uninitiated to enter a parallel, perfect musical reality...

  • I wish the Vorspiel was about two minutes longer. It ends all too soon!

  • Great production......

  • The Levi's commercial made an excellent choice!

  • love this music, where did this performance take place, was it Germany?

  • @farsideoftheocean It is the prelude to "Rheingold" of the "Ring-Cycle" performed in Richard Wagner's festival theatre in Bayreuth/Germany in the years 1988 -1992.

  • is this on dvd?

  • Laser Wagner! Awesome!

  • eine der besten inszenierungen die ich gesehen habe

  • I would love to have been there.

  • beautiful, but why did it cut off at 5:31? it wasnt done.

  • 8 french horns ftw !!!!

  • Best picture and best idea of the Kupfer-Bayreuth-Ring. The end of Götterdämmerung is quite silly (two children with a tourch).

  • @petatap I thought it was a load of people watching the telly.......Kupfer could have done a lot more with that scene, as the music was VERY powerful and dramatic at that point possibly the best ending to Gotterdammerung I ever heard.

  • Superb!

  • This is the most beautiful piece of music that has ever been composed, and the light effects are also superb.

  • agree completely. the vorspiel is incomparable.

  • the most beautiful piece of music that has ever been composed

    very very agree with you

  • @lovetank3000 I almost agree with that

  • @lovetank3000 ...it's surely one of the most successful depictions in music

  • @lovetank3000 the way the mottos pick up at around 4.25 is beyond words. It's complimentary to the way the rhythm is building up below, and the result is that the listener feels 'swept along'. Could there possibly have been a better method of portraying the scene? No - it's perfect.

  • I like the light effects at the end

  • Grandioso!

  • Go E-flat major!

  • @Waldvogel91

Yeah! That's cool! The harmonia mundi endless continuum

  • Beautiful....
