thses 2 phones have almost identical hardware inside ... and magic works like a charm with htc sense soft and rom.

for me the only thing that hero wins in is design of the body but thats subjective

Oddly enough the new Hero looks like the Magic... I am running a Hero ROM on my Magic now.. no lag and I have wifi and bluetooth! I will post a video tomorrow.. I am sure I saved money over waiting on the Hero to come out with what I am already have.

You can zoom the camer on the magic with 3rd party software which tells you the phone is capable of everything the Hero is.. except the 5mp cam. I am sticking with my Nikon D40 for pics... ha ha ha.

Pretty solid for a 3.2. I would give it a 7 out of 10.

Better detail and color representation than the Hero, which shares the same crap camera with the Touch Diamond2. So much for the 5MP.

I paid €354 for mine plus I wouldn't trade it for a Hero.. that thing looks too square! As for battery life.. I can make it through a day with my Magic then charge it up.

The hero is so much better than the magic- the hardware build is wonderful, it looks awesome, the interface is superior, it's the best android phone on the market! the magic is hideous, and blob shaped, and the interface is normal android, which isn't that great. The magic is just the dream without a keyboard, and it costs more- does that make sense? More money for less hardware? I'd take the dream over the magic, even. The hero is awesome! I love it.
