A valiant effort. I can't imagine even trying this tune with only two guitars, but I am glad you guys did. I've greatly enjoyed all of the tunes you have posted. Whenever I share monkees songs with friends I have labeled the "The Nesmith Band."
If you realy want to blow a fellow Monkee Maniac away... try Shorty Blackwell :) . Or, a more practical choice, St. Mathew.
You sure about that? better check your references on that one. Regardless you guys did a great job (except for the minor out of sync mistakes during the intro) Now I'm gonna search to see if you two did "LISTEN TO THE BAND"
Dude, I'm 101% sure about it. I apparently have paid enough attention to learn the guitar parts and nuances of the song. Micky's voice is featured prominently in the mix, but it is not double tracked. That second voice is all Nez. It's very tough to hear, I know, but it's there. Sorry about the mistakes. It was our first and only take. No LTTB...yet. :)
Listen to the man. It was a 'duet' of sorts. All studio references point to it.Slap on some haedphones dude and listen attently..you can hear Mike.We can all agree that Rhino needs to pay special attention to re-mixing this one when they get around to it.There are complaints about the original CD issue along with latest grumbles about the "Deluxe Edition" takes on the first 4 albums.
Awesome!

Guy singing sounds alot like Papa Nez, however Micky Dolenz did lead vocals on the song they're performing

Actually, it was a dual lead with Micky and Mike singing, but Nez's voice kind of gets lost in the mix.
