  • do I see an I7 8 core?

  • Will the Mobile version allow backwards compatibility as in socket type? My socket on my Lenovo is the Socket 989 rPGA. I see that on the specs, that some of the Sandy Bridge CPUs use this socket. Does it have a different amount of pins and I'm hoping too much?

  • HE DOESNT BLINK

  • @DethVain :O

  • intel lack marketing knowledge. pathetic excuse for a price.

  • i have a question friend i ask many but no one gave me proper answer whats the different between sandy bridge and old one i7 coz if u take out build in graphic its all same old i7 right??? or this new i7 well be faster then old one coz i am gamer sure i go with gtx 580 or 6980 so having i7 sandy bridge or old i7 make any different or its built in graphic and media converter support more to boost it?? so much confused help me

  • @tomyloveu Sandy Bridge is still faster than the old 1156 i7 processors, because it's a far more efficient architecture. If I recall correctly, Sandy Bridge processors are around 20% faster per clock.

  • Try not to hate, Intel is just trying to constantly evolve, and even AMD knows and respects this, new motherboards, CPUs and chip sets means new money flowing and more jobs, and in the end lower prices on their desktop CPUs and AMDs.

  • ew there's a mac behind u :S

  • @91splash People who are serious about producing high quality work, use Macs.

  • @MrCatalytic Haha Your comment made my lol so hard thanks for the dumb comment tho.

  • @91splash That's because they are better.

  • @goodatlinerider you have one?

  • @91splash Yes

  • Thats stupid that the Core i7 extreme edition is 1000 dollars and its only 10mhz faster than the 500 dollar one. Everything else is the same.

  • @bg048 Im agreeing with you that the price is very high but doesent it have 6 cores? 2+ more then the others.

  • @Penquis100 The Core i7-2820QM, and the Core i7 extreme edition 2920XM both have 4 cores and both are HT, so both have 8 threads.

  • @bg048 yeah right

  • @bg048

Yes it might seem stupid, but the best explanation I can come up with is that the EXtreme edition core i7 will have OverClocking capabilities, hence the 10W higher TDP, while the rest will not, and there is a pretty big premium to pay for that!

  • Happy 2011 Elric!

Awsome videos about Sandy Bridge =)

  • Intel is always raping everybody with their new cpus by changing the socket every f*ckin time. On universal coolers they say things like "supports LGA775, LGA1156, LGA1366, and AMD!!" now they're gonna have to say "supports LGA775, LGA1155, LGA1156, LGA1366 and AMD!!" whereas amd's socket AM3 is partially backwards compatible with am2+ and am2. you can get an am2 board that supports modern am3 cpus!!!

  • @psychoclown420 /care xD the problem is they need to make money so this is their way of doing that, live with it :D

  • @g0dverark amd is making money without dicking everybody over...

  • @psychoclown420 Yeah but AMD doesn't innovate as much as Intel does for CPUs, Intels just blow AMD CPUs away in terms of raw performance.

  • @psychoclown420 Umm, thats why AMD CPU's aren't as good as Intel. The 6 cores is what i would call a fail since the old i5 760 can beat it hands down.

  • @psychoclown420 The LGA1155 has the same mounting holes as LGA1156! Oh, and since Intel added a n inchip GPU and Northbridge, a socket change was mandatory. Thumbs up so all can see.

  • will the bracket of cooling will be the same as the 1156 socket? pls answers

  • just turn on translation and enjoy a really funny movie

  • What.... They didn't have i7 Extremes in the mobile lineup before?

  • Too bad they haven't been able to ramp up those gigaHertz

  • Love the music you use for the specs!

  • OMG! Core i7 32nm with 45W? But if you have $300+ to throw away. buy it...

  • 568$ and we have same feature of the latest in the list!

just curious to see if this cpu will be more power of the next amd cpu...

    really curious!

hey how fast is in super pi these cpu??

  • NOW THOSE ARE SOME FUCKED UP NAMES "I7 BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA "

  • Very Cool indeed!!!

  • i7-2920XM is very tasty looking

  • lol where is the pricing? and so these cpus technically dont need a north bridge?and you can still use normal graphics cards correct?

  • 4th!, another great video

  • This is a disappointment to high-end gamers who bought power cards and wished integrated graphics can combine with Nvidia/AMD cards.

  • still 240p

  • Looks good, I have a new Spec in mind
