But they said "No!" and went to war, and lost it, they left the land, encouraged by their leaders to leave. The ones who stayed are not citizens in the Israeli society.
You should visit Israel, you will see its not what you think.
Anyways, Israels new borders were decided, legally. There's a discussing and a chance we will give the Golan Heights for peace with Syria.

@itaymr I am not a Muslim, nor an Arab or a communist, however I do think that a basic sense of "fair play" is part of the human condition for most of us, and, I think, there are good reasons for this. Yes we are all selfish and tribalistic – but - there are costs to such instincts/strategies.

The UN partition plan proposed 45% of the then British mandate of Palestine for a predominantly Arab Palestinian state, and 55% for a predominantly Jewish state (Israel). When you consider that, at the time, two thirds of the population where non Jewish. Be fair. This was not a good deal for the Arabs.

Jordan comprises over 80% of the "palestine mandate". When it was created all the jews were ethnically cleansed from that land and after 1948 over 1000000 jews were forced out of muslim countries with their land and in most cases wealth stolen by muslims. The palestinians have their state (jordan), its time the world stopped pandering to these spoilt arabs. When the oil runs out, i suspect so will the patience of the world for muslim hypocracy.

There are Jewish communities living in Arab states to this day,(even in Iran).
I'm not saying that the Muslims or Arabs have behaved perfectly in all of this, but I strongly believe you have a skewed, tribalistic perspective, which fails to recognise the perspective of what are now called the Palestinians.

@itaymr Re Sinai: Israel RETURNED land it had taken by military force 11 years earlier.
Resolution 242 which deals with land taken, by Israel, in the 1947 six day war, can be summarised as calling for the return of land in exchange for peace.
Israel FULLY returned the land taken from Egypt and Jordan. It is at peace with those states. This needs to happen with Syria, Lebanon, and the Palestinians.

@itaymr Because Youtube doesn’t support the use of italics people sometimes use capitals to emphasis words of phrases. However I tend to associate excessive use of capitalisation with hysteria and ranting (in your case this may result from repressed guilt over Israels behaviour). Prehaps when you have calmed down we can return to this subject.
In the mean time I would highly recommend Avi Shlaim's "The Iron Wall" as a relatively unbiased account of the Middle East conflict up to 1999.
