I'm telling you, right now, that sometimes it is better not to have insurance and to pay cash because: If you are required to buy insurance, not only will you have to pay that, but you will be forced to pay your deductible as well. Your insurance company won't pay until the deductible is met. Deductibles are rising as high a $5,000 per year, and this is just for an individual, not even for a family. Most people, unless you have a catastrophe will not spend 5 grand or even 1 grand/yr for care.
pay a fine or a tax? same thing. "tax cuts for 95% of Americans. LOL "I will not raise taxes on Americans making under $250,000" Or at least I will make sure that we don't call it a tax!! said President Obama.
Here's my bill: force every employer of even one person to report the names, SSNs to the IRS.
Then force the employers of ILLEGALS to provide at their own business expense, with no tax relief, the same "Cadillac" HEALTH CARE that the SIEU-Obamie unions get.
Those who still think that Obamacare is a good thing just haven't been effected by it yet. I can't understand why anyone would want the government to force them to buy something... anything.
Republicans play this game all the time, I guess they do need to save face and act like they were against it...trust no one in the government, regardless of their party, they are all the same....
@yerallmorons - If you have a health insurance policy through your employer, it's cheaper for your employer to drop you and force you to pay for your own health insurance. My wife works for a Fortune 500 company. They're already talking about dropping health care if Obamacare isn't repealed. The catch is, they don't give you a salary increase to cover the cost you'll have to pay. You'll pay or you'll be fined. Hatch is referring to the individual & employer mandates. That's unconstitutional.
@92jpc It is no longer a "bill"; it has been signed into LAW! Forced down our throats against the will of the majority of Americans. We can and must do everything we can to repeal this law. We can start by making sure we vote OUT the spenders and lifetime politicians (in both parties) in November!

Exactly right on, Senator Hatch.

I hope the health care bill looses supporters because this could be a problem.

@ProudConservative2 Yes, I do know that. I hope the new law never becomes popular at all.
