@2GoldensTosa : this specific treble booster is called the Ballast Trouble Booster - it has a larger range than th eusual TB, this one range from clean booster to treble booster (I made some demo vids BTW)

Your tone is spot-on, mate, and the bonus is that you're well-studied in some of Rory's signature playing techniques. Hard to believe these big sounds are coming out of a little Vox amp.

Anyways - a most impressive clip. Your playing is honest, engaging and inspired. Bravo!

Hey Real, I comitted blasphemy! (yeah, so I cant spell)...

I took the whole pickguard and all off my Gallagher strat, and put it

on a 'stripped to the wood' SRV signature model (cause I like the neck

better). And you think it couldn't get any better! With the fatter neck, it

screams. I aged it just like the Rory with a propane torch and some oil.

The sound is identical, but louder.

Rory only used the treble booster in the early years then he went on to the Hawk booster which is now made by Flynn amps.

great guitar and good playing. the sound is close but a bit too noisy and not clear enough, and lacks the sparke and compression of rorys tone. i guess his booster had alot to do with it. if you got the guitar, get his hawk booster also, 7 percent of the price of the guitar. i ordered one and can't wait to play it. the guitar is way too expensive for me. man it looks great.

Here it was pretty loud because I was using the 4W setting, but you could use the 1W or 0,25W settings.

Look for Flyinn amps. The OC44 is awesome, and their Rory Gallagher booster is even cooler!

Anyway, Rory's tone has changed a lot during his lifetime.

That treble booster sounds great, but after trying most of them, I settled on the Klon Centaur Overdrive. I think it comes the closest to Rory's Dallas Arbiter.

rory is my #1 inspiration... and my tribute to him is listening to his music and playing his songs. it doesnt make me less of a fan for not wanting fenders shitty finish. i'd rather get it painted and try to get that look myself.

This is absolutely not the point. The guitar is named a "tribute" and that's exactly what it is: a way to remember a wonderfull human being who had a HUGE influence on us. Maybe not you. But about myself, I know and love Rory's work since I'm 16, and having this guitar is my personnal tribute to him. And BTW, tribute finish or not, this guitar is first a great playing and sounding strat - try one and you'll see my point.
