my dad was a bandsman in the royal irish rangers...it was always great to hear them play their music.sadly he passed on 11 years ago and people who knew him say nobody could hit a bass drum like he did......r.i.p.dad .......thanks to vespasoulman for bringing back such good memories
@guardsman32 when did your dad serve........my old man was from 1969...1976......he was in the 1st batt.band...but i know they all joined up every now and again...for the massed bands
I was born in the UK to Irish born parents. I wish the RIR and Brittish forces success in their efforts to make this world a safer place and thank whatever God for the Republic of Irelands attempst to keep peace in the world.

Our drum major was a bass drummer in the RIR band well respected man and a devoted bands man
i had 2 brothers and a sister all in the home batalion of the royal irish memories i had goining to the passing out parades
