There was, it was called the 9/11 Commission Report. Barrett and the rest of the Truther crowd don't accept it because it blames bureaucratic incompetence, decrepit information infrastructure, and a lack of foresight. Truthers make charges against the 9/11CR that it is "covering up" WTC7's collapse. The reason it didn't cover WTC7 is because it was not attacked. It was collateral damage from the other towers. Barrett and others will not be satisfied until THEIR postulates are accepted.
It would be true that building 7 was the first of its kind to fall from fire damage if that was what was claimed. The truth is that much more stuff from the towers fell on building 7 than first thought, causing massive damage to the internal structure as well. Go to wikipedia and search "building 7" and at least read the offical account, understand and think about it before trying to disprove it. Otherwise you sound like people who are against evolution who don't even understand it.

What you said is true about 300 architects agreeing, but the entire Structural Engineering Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers, as well as every other major group consisting of many more thousands of people do not agree. A closer look at the list of experts cited will reveal that many of them have no expertise in the area in which they are commenting. Steel structured buildings don't fall at free fall speed neatly into their own footprint because of fire and some minor structural damage. Take some time and watch some buildings that were brought down by controlled demolition. The steel structured columns must all fail at about the same time. By the way since this type of collapse never happened in the history of steel structure buildings how did "everyone" know it would collapse? Please reply to that question.

I really dug Loose Change when it came out, and I bought a bunch of copies to share with my friends. It's a compelling film, but I really don't think it can be viewed in a vacuum. That is, to dismiss the work of alternative journalists like Goodman or Naomi Klein, or the political writings of Zinn and Chomsky (little space here), is to get lost in distracting conspiracy theories that take away from the slow work of gaining mainstream respect by average Americans. Kevin Barrett has a thoughtful perspective. He did not iaccuse Amy, but spoke to her respectfully. Goodman's lack of coverage about 9/11 has been spooky. In all other ways she has been great. I worry about her because she seems under some strange pressure. She treads 9/11 very cautiously. She does not look well, and seems to want to avoid eye contact in the last segment. Even if building 7 burned long enough and hot enough to cause collapse, it still would never collapse in such a fast, clean, symmetrical fashion.
It would be a sloppy, tipping, toppling mess, likely occurring in stages over a long period of time and leaving portions of the building still standing.
It would never, EVER come down the way it did.
You have to be in serious denial, or be lacking the most basic understanding of structural design, to not see that something is very wrong here.

The latest report claims that a floor beam on the 13th floor heated up and expanded enough to fall off its seat and that the floor fell hard enough to take out the floors below it. Having lost its lateral support, column 79 then buckled, and all the floors at the east end of the building, all the way to the 47th floor, fell down. Then all the rest of the inside of the building fell down, invisibly, leaving just the hollow shell to fall at near-freefall speed. That's their story.

Barrett, like most of the hardcore 9/11 Truth crowd, is obsessed with this conclusion and is willing to delude himself to believe it. I've heard variations of this claim, they seem to all reference polls where people have stated that they believe the government is covering up incompetence, which is a reasonable assumption. But Truthers turn this into "they think it was an inside job" which is completely without merit.

There was, it was called the 9/11 Commission Report. Barrett and the rest of the Truther crowd don't accept it because it blames bureaucratic incompetence, decrepit information infrastructure, and a lack of foresight. Truthers make charges against the 9/11CR that it is "covering up" WTC7's collapse. The reason it didn't cover WTC7 is because it was not attacked. It was collateral damage from the other towers. Barrett and others will not be satisfied until THEIR postulates are accepted.

It would be true that building 7 was the first of its kind to fall from fire damage if that was what was claimed. The truth is that much more stuff from the towers fell on building 7 than first thought, causing massive damage to the internal structure as well. Go to wikipedia and search "building 7" and at least read the offical account, understand and think about it before trying to disprove it. Otherwise you sound like people who are against evolution who don't even understand it.

I told you I read them and I also read the 118 first responder accounts which the NYFD took down as oral histories right after the event so memory would'nt fade. What you said is true about 300 architects agreeing, but the entire Structural Engineering Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers, as well as every other major group consisting of many more thousands of people do not agree. A closer look at the list of experts cited will reveal that many of them have no expertise in the area in which they are commenting. Steel structured buildings don't fall at free fall speed neatly into their own footprint because of fire and some minor structural damage. Take some time and watch some buildings that were brought down by controlled demolition. The steel structured columns must all fail at about the same time. By the way since this type of collapse never happened in the history of steel structure buildings how did "everyone" know it would collapse? Please reply to that question.

Those that don't accept the reasons behind the towers collapse almost always don't understand the reason to begin with. I really dug Loose Change when it came out, and I bought a bunch of copies to share with my friends. It's a compelling film, but I really don't think it can be viewed in a vacuum. That is, to dismiss the work of alternative journalists like Goodman or Naomi Klein, or the political writings of Zinn and Chomsky (little space here), is to get lost in distracting conspiracy theories that take away from the slow work of gaining mainstream respect by average Americans. Kevin Barrett has a thoughtful perspective. He did not iaccuse Amy, but spoke to her respectfully. Goodman's lack of coverage about 9/11 has been spooky. In all other ways she has been great. I worry about her because she seems under some strange pressure. She treads 9/11 very cautiously. She does not look well, and seems to want to avoid eye contact in the last segment. She clearly has a sense of humor, and a nice smile when she drops her guard a bit.

I will try one more time. Google Bush NWO speech and go to the first listing that comes up. There are actually several references listed there that confirm it as 1990. I'm not sure why, but there is a lot of confusion about this, at one point I thought it was 91 as well, but after researching, confirmed it as 90.

I agree but I take exception to 'inside job'. Just like the neocons were quick to blame the Arabs, the Truthers are quick to blame the govt for the demolition. The Truthers need to be more precise about how they word themselves. They turn people off by ramming conclusions down people's throats. Also "pre-detonations" doesn't sound right to me. This website was originally set up by a professional architect, Richard Gage AIA (who also designs fireproof, steel framed buildings in his day job), for the purpose of bringing professional engineers and architects together to examine the collapse of the 3 WTC buildings. Their professional conclusion - the official explanation as to how the buildings fell does not stand up to scientific examination.
