This man has the silliest playing face.

  • LOL I remember when I was a beginner,and I couldn't separate my hand from my foot :P

    Now I'm pretty coordinated ^_^

  • looks just a lil bit like brann dailor

  • These are great for beginners. But are their more advanced freedrumlessons? Oh by the way for any aspiring drummers look up Joe Babiack Drum Solo 1 and drum solo 2. Great display of drumming skill.

  • 2:52 - DERP

  • Just one thing

If its too fast ypu just slow it down and when you feel comfortable enough you speed it up just a little every time right?

  • "It's not all about speed" true dat.

  • the third one is almost, repeat, ALMOST like the drum intro on Seven Days to the Wolves by Nightwish.

  • the second one is almost, repeat, ALMOST like the drum intro on Seven Days to the Wolves by Nightwish.

  • i always fuck up the last one :(

  • i allways fuck up the last one =/

  • Can i marry your foot Jared Falk?

  • the website with the sheets isn't loading. anyone have a pdf link?

  • that's one of the best sounding kits i've ever heard, what do you think one like that costs?

  • @StratovariusFTW

its not only because of the kit that it sounds good. i see the right mics in the right positions and probably a really nice sounding room so you dont get any nasty reverb or standing waves. also the drums are probably tuned right unlike 75% of all drum kits out there. proper muffling etc. so yea its not only the kit man you cannot make a shit kit sound awesome but you can make a good kit sound just so much better with the right techniques and skills.

  • and btw with this kind of muffling this kit would sound just like crap live ^^

  • What kind of HHX cymbals are those?

  • very good the exercises

  • good video

  • i love you jared

  • how similiar should the left bass pedal be with the right one? i mean if you pull the two beaters and let them go? cuz my left one stops after 2 seconds, and my right goes on for like 30 secs

  • @ToOlOGT22 there's always a difference between them... try to play both pedale with your right feet (one before and one after xD), so you can see what's going wrong and adjust them ;)

  • @ToOlOGT22 they should be exactly the same.

  • t00L!

  • jajaja estan facil los ritmos pero estan biien curas xD

  • Nice lesson!

  • pretty basic exercise. good for beginners.

  • do you think i could learn drums souly off videos like these on the internet and stuff?

  • @Hobzy107 yes

  • yes but you;ll be at a huge disadvantage because if you dont understand something in the video you cant ask them directly for your help and to evaluate your playing. something that a personal drum teacher can do.

  • they would definitely help, but nothing can replace having an experienced mentor.

  • @cdewd your mother is an experienced mentor, if you know what i mean ;)

  • i did ;)

  • yeh i'm getting one of my brother's drummer friends to help

  • sort of, but youd be a LOT better if u took real lessons

  • @Hobzy107 YES YOU CAN!buddy of my named jimmy rose won the northern half of the guitar center drum off.he never took a lesson in his life!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • thnks;it really helps my druming skills!

=]i got problems with my right foot ang my right hand.i cnt play independently with the both?

  • Yeah, I had that problem too when I just started. You just gotta keep practicing, play a lot, and try, try , TRY!

  • so easy lol!! ur right.

  • This is so easy haha but they have some very good drum lessons.

I guess this is good for beginners.

  • jared falk??? fake name :D

  • Chvr, muy didáctico. Gracias

  • It's yamaha drumset

  • simon

  • thanks. you saved me time because i was going to explain it.

  • Its a yamaha

  • what drumset is this??? sounds $#%T$ckin great!

  • i think thats a sonor...but i don´t know wich..

  • its custom i think its all different drums together

  • what kind of drum head is on the snare?

  • play along with drumless rock, blues, metal, jazz, and covers...

    minusdrums d o t com

  • how do we make our bass drum sound like that with a sort of 'click'

  • if your bass drum's too ringy, take off the drum head, stuff a pillow or blanket in it, then put the head back on

  • or try getting the Aquarian super kick 2.

    getting one changed my life

22 by 20 inch bass no pillows or blanket

    no ring

seriously its a gift from god

  • seriously man i have one on my bass drum right now and ive had it for so long i beat the shit outa it and still hasnt ripped!

  • im a big fan of the emad myself, but aquarians are pretty sweet too.

  • ya i like the emad and i use evens ec2's on all my toms but it always seems to muffle the kick just a little beit to much

idk. evens are always good though.

  • @joelax10 Either the super kicks, or the EMAD, I actually like it better because the dampening is on the OUTSIDE so its easier to change if you want to!

  • @joelax10 yea i use aquarians on all my heads, best head youl ever get!!

  • no dont that kills th sound and de-tunes it

  • hmm should i buy a metronome...will it accelerate my growth as a drummer?.....anyone?

  • i never used one. but it helps to just play to music. and improv

  • so what happens when you develop bad timing and the guitarists cant play with you? my suggestion is buy a metronome yourself

  • dude, get a metronome. It helps develop your internal clock. Very essential to have a solid groove and also if you ever go into a recording studio your timing is a must.

  • keeping the tempo is your job as a drummer, get a metronome it helps!

  • buy a metronome, definitely. it helped me a lot. metronome is a must for a real drummer !

  • Yes buy a metronome it helps everything line up together

  • itll help u alot with learning to keep time,

  • well these lessons are really helpful to beginners, hey these drums sound pretty cool all through the lessons, which make are they??

  • At least he can make videos people can understand.

  • that actually really helps i also find my right hand following my right foot but the more i slow down and break it down to myself the easier it becomes thanks

  • the 3 beat sounds so dope with double bass!

    try it out

    its not that hard

  • Only just got a drum kit today and i find tht my right hand follows my bass foot. any tips on how to stop this ? or is it just a practice thing ?

  • so you mean your snare stick follows your bass drum foot?

    ya its all practice

  • nar like my ride/high hat stick follows the bass.

  • its muscle memory. ur right hand follows ur right leg on instinct. just practice doing it slow and maybe be ballsy and work on being ambedextrous. if i spelt that right.

  • I also used to have that problem. All I did was break down whatever the beat is into single notes.Doing this will remove the actual rhythm of your playing.

Practice the beat for a while, then slowly increase your speed. Soon you're arms and legs will be completely separated.

I hope that helps, if you have any questions you can send me a message. =)

  • Yer man ive basically started doing that, slowly getting there. thanks for all the help guys.

  • dude you have to practise practise and practise do it slow it works the best ;)

  • practice it real slow, break it down and count every beat

  • evryone starts at some point..

this is a greats vid for beginers ..keep it up bro

n if ny1 thinks they r better why bother evn watchin NOOBS

and if u really think ur better put up some of ur own vidz....lets c the rating...

itz a lot tuffer to teach btw ..so great job mate XD

  • @corbin1furber : absolutely right! this is quite obviously a lesson for beginners, and when you start it's important to do stuff that develops your coordination but is easy enough to be played cleanly. so don't bitch about this guy, he's doin a good job. and none of us will probably ever have such a sweet kit :)

  • fuck all you guys who think your so much better than everyone else. when i was first starting off, similar videos and with the help of my drum really helped me out. thanks man, this is great video

  • ok guys theres no need to prove how much of a badass you are by saying that this video sucks and you can play so much harder stuf than this. guess what? i can too. but there are ppl out there who need to start off somewhere. i did at one point and so did you, so youre a complete hypocrite if you bash this video.

  • exactly, good point, bro

  • haha thanks. finally i found someone who agrees w/ what i say.

  • that's right

  • For people like me who find bass drum independence difficult this is very helpful. So shut the hell up!!!!!

  • nice nice.

so you can suck your own cock then?

    faggog

  • lol i was playing some of these beats b4 i watched this vid O.o

  • who cares?

  • hahaha

  • this really isn't complicated at all, but for beginning drummers I guess it's a good way to practice :/

  • lol

    you're cruel

  • who cares if he is gay? he is one of the best drummers around! you should see the other stuff he does. he can play 32 notes at 120 beats per minute, and with ONE HAND!!! and by the way, he isnt gay

  • thank you man..!!

  • whoaa lace bass plays drums??

  • hey i play some of these and i like it.

  • i cant play them.

    thats why im watching this.

    so shut the fuck up

  • i can play them all and i have no legs. >:))

  • dont watched it then dickhed!

  • Good instruction! To the point, no stupidity, no blathering! Solid playing, modeling good habits, great sounding drums!!! Keep it up!!! I'm eager to hear Jared with a band!

  • this isen't very heavy...

  • "Now you can take it to your kit and have some fun with it" I don't have any kit ='(

Your lessons kick ass! Keep them coming :P

  • you are the best teacher to play drum...

and you're teaching us easy to understand...

so thats why I will always watch your drum vid.

like this so keep it sir!

  • great video man
