I was at that game and i must say that Louiseville fans are almost as bad, if not worse than Michigan fans. They were unbelievably arrogant. I'm glad that we spanked them and taught them a little lesson about respect, lol. We completely dominated them in the second half, and it was absolutely priceless seeing their fans sitting in their seats dead silent.
This was to me a more satisfying win than UConn. The way Louisville danced around after beating a 12 seed they needed a reality check. Overall number one seed, all kinds of talent but no class. Even Pitino with his all white suits. They tried to show up their opponents. Williams posed after every one of his plays, although they were few in this game. It was great to see those punks take a loss the way they did.

Louisville didn't rank in the top 5 in defensive fg%, points allowed per game, or steals, explain how thats a top 5 defense? They were 5th in blocked shots though. You have to look at what Izzo got though. Jud retired after Repert and Snow were gone. I believe that Montgomery and Stevenson graduated the year before Izzo got there as well. Nobody could have taken that team and made it win. But thats not Jud's fault that those guys graduated. Jud is just as if not more important to MSU basketball than Izzo. Also Jud would have had two more final fours if he had not been robbed in games vs.Kansas and Georgia Tech.

I was at that game and i must say that Louiseville fans are almost as bad, if not worse than Michigan fans. They were unbelievably arrogant. I'm glad that we spanked them and taught them a little lesson about respect, lol. We completely dominated them in the second half, and it was absolutely priceless seeing their fans sitting in their seats dead silent.

This was to me a more satisfying win than UConn. The way Louisville danced around after beating a 12 seed they needed a reality check. Overall number one seed, all kinds of talent but no class. Even Pitino with his all white suits. They tried to show up their opponents. Williams posed after every one of his plays, although they were few in this game. It was great to see those punks take a loss the way they did.

I am probably one of the biggest MSU fans alive...but i think all this bashing on Louisville is kindve insane. Rick Pitino mentioned that all year, they could barely get through 10 minutes of a team meeting, which would explain them disappearing at times throughout the season. All cardinals fans would agree, MSU imposed their will on the cards, but these were not the same Cards we had seen the prior 3 weeks. Not one person besides Preston Knowles was fired up. Louisville didn't rank in the top 5 in defensive fg%, points allowed per game, or steals, explain how thats a top 5 defense? They were 5th in blocked shots though. I didn't mean to entail that they have a bad defense, just that their defense is a product of their athletic ability, not their defensive skills. Also i never said their offense was top ranked, just that they had a great offense, theres a difference. But Louisville back again next year regardless of what happened this year.

Uconn is not the most physical team in the country as proved by Pitt. Michigan State has a drill they do in ractice called the war drill where they put on football pads and helmets and beat the hell out of eachother for rebounds. G had knee surgery and came back 4 weeks before he was ready and still hasnt healed. roe had microfracture srugery and came back something like 5 months before he was ready and still hasnt healed and they are playing through that.

its not what roy williams wasnt great... he just did not turn an average ACC team to a National Chamipon. He went from Kansas [a power house] to UNC [another powerhouse.] anyone can get recruits ata a powerhouse. Tom Izzo has made MSU for what it is. HEs turned average players from the midwest region into a great fundamental team, without any superstars, like a Tyler Hansborough or a Ty Lawson.

but you cant forget that Juds teams were getting closer and closer to 500. He wasn't getting the star recruits like before. Even Izzo could only do NIT the first two years with Juds guys. But i think youre completely right. Izzo has done an amazing job. He keeps getting 4 star recruits. But what i love is that they are all from Michigan or the Midwest. You have to look at what Izzo got though. Jud retired after Repert and Snow were gone. I believe that Montgomery and Stevenson graduated the year before Izzo got there as well. Nobody could have taken that team and made it win. But thats not Jud's fault that those guys graduated. Jud is just as if not more important to MSU basketball than Izzo. Also Jud would have had two more final fours if he had not been robbed in games vs.Kansas and Georgia Tech.

Lol no it wasnt an upset. A 2 seed beating a 1 seed isn't an upset. And don't forget even before the season began State was a favorite to win it all. Your problem, and the same with almost everyone else in the nation, is that no one has respected big ten basketball all year. Well youd be very foolish to not give them props now. State outplayed and out game planned Louisville in every aspect, State shouldve won like they did, not louisville
