Essentially, the goverment has decided to take things from the poor to build up the military. I wonder if Kim actually knew this was a thinly veiled parody of what he's being doing all along to the people of NK...
Not quite - Jong-Il reportedly force-fed the two grass while making them shoot his cinematic debut: A "Godzilla" rip-off titled "Pulgasari." The dictator held the couple captive for eight years. He made a fatal mistake when he took the two to Austria to discuss the film's distribution, and they escaped to safety at the American embassy after a car-chase with North Korean bodyguards
Kim’s love of movies was so great that he allegedly had South Korean film director Shin Sang-ok and his wife, actress Choi Eun-hee, kidnapped in 1978. The couple was released only after Shin was forced to produce "Pulgasari", a communist propaganda version of Godzilla. Al Jazeera
@scottydu81 Yeah I wondered about that too. At least I could understand if the oppressor was looking american or somthing. I was also supprised that the North Koreans in the movie are poor. NK people arent poor at all. They live and are healthy and happy. According to the information comming out of NK anyway :P
3:40 is the best acting I've seen. EVER!

The movie features an uprising yes, but one which goes wrong and turns into a capitalist type situation.

Not bad for a film commissioned by a hateful, tyrannical maniac for the purposes of propaganda and directed by a kidnap victim. Thanks for uploading!
