@rakerudesu Lying is when you tell someone something you KNOW is NOT true. Example: My hair is brown. What color is your hair? MY HAIR IS RED. I am lying to you. Cheating is when you act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage; or cheating could be defined as tricking. Example: I got some playing cards. I took out all of the Kings. I bet you $5 you cannot draw a King. I am cheating you out of your money.
@famas2007 This is another slang term that we Americans use. "What have you" is kind of like saying "etc." or "whatever you had" or "whatever you wish."
In this case he said, "You were here from January to June, or what have you." The "what have you" here just means, "or however long you were here." I hope that makes sense.
I loved your explanation for the use of auxiliary DO/DOES in questions!!! It totally makes sense. I've been told the auxiliaries were empty carriers, but I like your way of seeing them much better!! Thanks for the inspiration!!
@pimentellais hi, well, my name is joaquin im studying english at harmon hall in TABASCO, Hmm it is a question incorrect, tell me in Spanish you want to tell, please!... if you want to learn English, send a e-mail to the following hotmail:jhoaken-95@hotmail.es...
I'm really surprised at how funny he is. He's a mixture of humor and seriousness .. Like I can't tell the difference between the two. Maybe thats why I'm having fun learning from him!
