i don't believe in beating women but i think that's a funny rule in the mob, it's also funny how Richie gives Chris shit for hitting Ade without marrying her yet he does the exact same to Janice and coincidentally, the same reason. they both wouldn't shut the fuck up.
It took me a lot of research to figure out that Ritchie, the guy who played Al on Quantum Leap, and the guy who played Carla's first husband on Cheers are not the same guy, lol. Boy do they look alike though.
great scene, it demonstrates the true ranking system of wiseguys. richie strictly was testing christopher because he's a younger generation. to which christopher still showed respect and that impressed richie.
I can't recall a single moment in the show where Silvio was lacking in integrity or loyalty. He asked questions from time to time but that's a man that would be the FIRST to die for his people.
Richie used the term "Old School" but his real problem was his uncontrollable temper. He was considered Crazy by many of his associates and that made him extremely dangerous. Spontanious violence got him killed later on.
@pinko1975 lol Richie was the man & i wish the character stayed into season 4 but he janice layed him out. lol. But he is a hypocrite in this scene.HE Says dont lay ur hands on a woman unless u gve her ur last name. He punched janice in the face & he wasnt married to her either. lol . rest in peace ritchie. u da man rb
@rogerb1031 Actually he says 'you wanna raise your hand , you give her your last name, than it's none of my business.' Meaning if they're married, he won't intrude cause it's his wife.
@rogerb1031 It's cuz Aid was his niece. Plus he was really just breakin Chrissie's balls there more or less. Thats why after Chris left he said to Tony "good kid".
@pinko1975 The problem with having a friend like Richie, is he made his own rules as he went. That made him come across as a loose cannon. NO one could trust him with anything.
That is why i love Tony... Fucking great.. Just a total confindent blow-off with no potential reprecussions

@ilovemobcinema he started to hit Janice only after they become married, so at least he can have a right to say so to Chris*

It's a shame that Richie was killed off at the end of this season, he and Tony could have made a very powerful duo.

According to transcribe audio, the following lines are this scene:
'He was a baby friday disappointment exploded'
'sparkly before the stock market closes with a thought what's in the fall guys'
And apparently, 'Meet Richie Aprile' means 'Leveraging up for you', and 'We understand each other?' means 'Winston-Salem'.
