also, Tom Hess is a brilliant composer himself... check out his Opus albums... some amazingly complex stuff. I've read Rhapsody is one of his favorite bands as well, so I'm very excited to see what he comes up with personally :)

There is overwhelming and undeniable evidence that he's an absolutely amazing musician. For you to cling to only one instance/concert to try and prove your point in the face of so much more overwhelming evidence is just pointless. :) have an open mind and have some faith in Rhapsody of Fire's choice to welcome him whole heartedly as the new guitarist :)

By the way, what's so special about him? There's tons of better guitar players out there, and if he was such a great teatcher, he'd probably have more people than himself in a notable metal band.

He is an excellent guitar player, and there are others who surpass him in certain areas, but he's a brilliant man, especially in music business... he offers a lot more to a band and label than just good guitar playing. he has a music career mentoring program for a reason. And have you ever heard of Rustey Cooley?
I thought Rhapsody could finally make a good album after the terrible one they made a few years back - can't even remember the name... I love this song quite a bit. However I feel the rest of the album is rather disappointing. They really ought to go back to their style of playing off the first couple of albums.
This album has already been released in other countries, right? I got an email from the band's mailing list suggesting that. Well, I pre-ordered and paid for my copy weeks ago and it's still not released here, so I'm glad of this little sneak peek! (as the username implies, I'm a bit of a fan ^_^)

@TheBazman111 There are going to be less bands on Saturday, apparently, so Immortal and Rhapsody can play equal headlining sets. Immortal were the most requested band along with Rhapsody, and of course Rhapsody are more deserving, but it's all about making everyone happy, which they have.
There's a lot of elements that Rhapsody is messing around with but I think that at times their true essence gets placed in the back seat; furthermore it seems like they haven't mastered the blend between their own style and growling vocals. I love these guys but I've been a bit disappointed by their latest 2 full length albums. Only a couple of songs make the cut. I love and prefer to listen to "Ancient fires of Har-Kun" that's an epic masterpiece. This song is good though.

This album has already been released in other countries, right? I got an email from the band's mailing list suggesting that. Well, I pre-ordered and paid for my copy weeks ago and it's still not released here, so I'm glad of this little sneak peek! (as the username implies, I'm a bit of a fan ^_^)

@TheBazman111 There are going to be less bands on Saturday, apparently, so Immortal and Rhapsody can play equal headlining sets. Immortal were the most requested band along with Rhapsody, and of course Rhapsody are more deserving, but it's all about making everyone happy, which they have.

There's a lot of elements that Rhapsody is messing around with but I think that at times their true essence gets placed in the back seat; furthermore it seems like they haven't mastered the blend between their own style and growling vocals. I love these guys but I've been a bit disappointed by their latest 2 full length albums. Only a couple of songs make the cut. I love and prefer to listen to "Ancient fires of Har-Kun" that's an epic masterpiece. This song is good though.
