Yeah its horrible when our PCs have a "useful" LOL update and then all of a sudden something vile happens. Those issues can be hard to trace as well. Maybe try rolling back Windows 3 weeks?
I know what you mean by rolling back but I'm not sure how to only roll back only the video part that's going wrong only. Or how far to roll it back, because I'm not sure when it started going wrong. Last time I tried roll back it spent ages gurgling sound then said 'can't roll back, try again' each calender date in the end I think I scrapped it got another computer
I know what you mean. The Windows restore function is notouriously twitchy. I hope you get to the bottom of the problem. Possibly audio codecs or sumfin' :o)
Yep you can upload an FLV - no problems! I don't use Adobe Premier, I have ULead video studio 11. It's a basic package compared to Premier, but does everything quickly and its pretty much intuitive. The only downside to that package, is that it crashes at times, so when I use it, I have to save my work once in a while, but I can tell when it is going to bomb out on me. LOL. An hour seems a long time to wait? Are you using an Amiga :-) ??
Amiga LOL.. hmmm not quite so LOL... When they were making Max Headroom 25 years ago, the only computer that has fast enough graphics was an Amiga! I've got a 3.2 gigahurts dual core. I might give ULead VS 1.1 a go, I beleive I have an install cd.
Something changed somewhere in the last few weeks in the software, maybe it was an 'automatic upgrade', or a setting had changed maybe. I'm not sure but there are so many settings and combinations. Let's try Ulead.
Try that guys account - he has some useful tutorials. There might be something there applicable.
I know how confusing the whole compression business can be.
I use something called "Total Video Converter" and that package is pretty much idiot proof, which suits me! It will compress straight to FLV and the settings are straight forward to tweak - ie. low/normal/high quality.
The trouble I'm having I think is with the adobe premire thingy that produces the video from all the edited clips. I have to leave it running for an hour sometimes then see if the video is any good. Then I convert the soundtrack to mp3 to make the upload size smaller.
Can you upload an FLV? I didn't know that. I've got TVC ver 2.6
I looked at jimmyrcom. Good resource. It's nice that people have taken the trouble to share what they have learnt and make it all so accessible for us to take the lead in looking at it our own pace, a better way of learning common sense!
Dude - you have to sort that glitchy video out - its very distracting. Regarding the "meme" - it is not accepted widely in the psychological or scientific community. Interesting video aside from the glitches. Maybe it is the compression you are using on your PC?
Yeah, the glitching problem in finished videos is really doing my head in, it's stopping me releasing videos. I'm going to take this one down and re-do it.
Good point about 'meme' word. That can be used as a handle to reject the whole video because of the establishment. It's a shame, because whatever it's called, it's real and more research done into it will reveal more about what makes us tick. Meanwhile religious followings are doing most of the research for us.
not well up on the techy side of videos and computers, it's divx mpg4 or something, there's about a million settings on it and I must admit I'm not really sure what I'm doing!! :-)

Thanks for the moral support and the ideas too :-) I think I'll give Ulead a go soon.

Does it allow you to resize, zoom in and out?
humanityandhistory 3 years ago
Yeah you can zoom, and I'm pretty certain there is a resize tool. Its odd though, as your first videos were ok?
