  • I am so grateful that i just found this..i stumbled upon it by accident but have been looking to learn how to do this for months now... my mother just gave me an afghan that was made out of this stitch pattern by my great grandmother who died when i was 7 and i have been wanting to recreate it in different colors for my children... thank you so much for having this online.

  • I love your videos. I'm amazed at the crochet you have created. Instructions are great. Can the written instructions be printed? I've tried to print but it looks like double exposer.

  • Thank you for the tutorial and for teaching a lot of difference stitches.

    Laurie:-)

  • *revised missed a bit out

It's a good idea to check out TJW's blog, there are lots of handy hints and tips - i too love ther pencil grip idea. I've taken up crochet after a long break and found the hooks too narrow to grip. Its much more comfortable with the grips.

  • Teresa: It looks as though the turning ch.1 does NOT count as the first stitch of the

    row. Is this correct?

  • @LuvCrochet1 Correct, I am not counting the first chain as a stitch with the double crochet. I am only using it as the step up so I can work a full double crochet.

  • thnx Teresa! :)

  • What are the cushions you use on your hooks and where can I get some?

  • @hoosiermama1009 They are pencil grips. I purchased mine from Wal-mart.

  • @hoosiermama1009 ... FYI she has a video Titled: How to Make your own Crochet Hook Grip ... look it up she goes in detail... :0)

  • I love it, I dunno how to do it, though, it seems really hard to make each ring even...
