Learning with Lumi: Invoker FPVOD

When I do Quas/Wex build on invoker I typically get 1 level of exort at level 6 right before I hit level 7 as that's when i get two skill slots so I can have all my spells available to me despite the long cooldown atleast I can use say defeaning blast when I need to and I just generally have more utility.

Your late invoker is bad. You kept thinking as a quas wex invoker, and casting 2-3 spells in teamfights. Could have killed a few heroes with the sun strike. The meteor would definitely help as well.

The reason to get a fast aghanim is not the 2sec cooldown on lvl 4/5 but to have one lvl of invoke much earlier this way... I finish it around lvl 11-ish.. and that boosts my midgame a lot... maybe I have to add that I go for all 3 elementes after lvling quas and wex till 4/5

My only complaint was the level 2 Wex at 4. That level is largely unneeded, as you're not going to be casting EMP and rarely will be casting Tornado at that stage of the game. Another level of Quas brings your regen from ~4 to ~7, allowing you to skip out on some consumables, harass harder, and have a more powerful Cold Snap.

@Rezius Think it's a decent farming and single target focus build, and really good for sneaking a early Rosh as well. However, besides Ice Wall, it doesn't have much extension when it comes to team fight spells though

I tried Invoker in Dota2 and clicked Legacy Hotkeys and it did nothing except for the Quas, Wex, Exort (QWE). None of the spells had the legacy hotkeys, they were only D or F, or whatever you make the secondary spell hotkeys. Can you even get customized hotkeys for every single one of his spells or must you use the new hotkey system? Reply to me if you have answer. Thanks in advance.

You don't need starting tangoes if you're putting levels into quas, as even with level 2 quas you get ~7 hp/sec regen. Better to spend that gold on more stats. (HP pot is alway good for burst regen).

Nice guide and video- but if you're maxing Wex first how come you never use EMP early game? Lots of times you had plenty of mana and tornado/snap were on cooldown but still you don't invoke Wex... I guess because of high mana costs? :s

As i've said in your QoP video, you really need to check teammate items more and levels. You have a very low understanding of how the game is flowing through real information and you can't always just trust in your intuition based on feel.

But seriously, why would you take quas beyond 4? having a longer duration on cold snap is *ok* but I think having deafening blast, ice wall, big alacrity damage, and two forged spirits is just so much better even without teamfights every minute.

Imo just seems like a waste to get a high level of quas.

Also I think grabbing one level on exhort inlane is always a good plan if your not decimating the lane yet.

@KwaadCore If you didn't know, adding quas gives you 2 str, which in turn gives 19 x 2 (38) hp, which invoker needs badly, and also additional 1 hp regen per orb. Adding quas is just him being more defensive, I don't see how it is a waste.

i like putting 1 into every skill at the start just so i have access to ice wall and such. No reason not to get at least 1 level of exort imo. I like playing wex/quas as well and i found it best to alternate it once i hit level 4 wex and match quas up.

-what you stated at ~ 5:45. The first trigger of the stun will go just after u casted it and then there will be a cooldown before u can stun a second time. So if you attack and cast the spell the stun will only trigger from the first casting and not from the actual attack.

-it may be better to lvl up quas at 3 because u wont use tornado or emp any time earlier as 4 (just not wort it)

-one level of exort is enough (in the midgame) as u only want the effects of the spell.

i play invoker a lot but i prefer going quas,invoke, wex,exort then max wex and i usually go phase boots,jango, aghanims asap :P and i use a lot more spells :/ its kinda more fun cause you can do whatever u want... this is more of a setup, chase build :/
