People have different styles of running a 400m and out of all of them Johnson's is easily the best, the WR holder before Johnson (Butch Reynolds who ran 43.29) went out very slow and saved it for the home stretch where as Quincy Watts who had the OR before Johnson went out super fast and decelerated in the final 100m. Johnson's like a mix between the two, goes out, sticks with his competitors and widens the gap around the bend with a strong finish!
