@Finkletonian So I haven't been on in a really long time now, but I have used 34 grams of zinc powder (fine), 1.5 grams salt (non-iodized), and 14 grams of ammonium nitrate. You grind the ammonium nitrate and salt together until well mixed and quite fine. Be really careful of moisture if you try this, even on a humid day this stuff is rumored to go off once the zinc is added. Only add the zinc when you are outdoors and absolutely ready for the reaction to start. Then just add a little water.
