I recently started smoking hookah and made the mistake of starting with quisk light coals, they gave me a headache, stink and tasted now I am using Coco Nara much better, I wouldn't even consider using the quick lights again, which sucks cause I bought 100 box :-( Coco Nara all the way.
iv been watching these kind of vids n i cand figure out what they're smoking outa these things i always thought people only used these things for weed
I've had different kinds of coals (never had coconara tho) and three kings were by far the most disgusting coal i've ever had, I set up my shisha in the normal way (tight aluminum foil etc.) and I could taste the coal throughout the entire session, also i've had it happening that the coal suddenly snapped in two (also 3k) so my personal opinion, go for other ones.
@AliTobi yup it all comes down to convenience... sure a porche is better than a mustang but are you willing to spend the money? most ppl dont wanna spend 10-20 min waiting for their charcoals to light up and be forced to use a stove or torch instead of a simple lighter...
@TheMoparDrvr yah thats the only plus side, convenience. but i find people that aren't willing to use a natural coal are also missing out on alot of other things by making half assed shishas. if it really bothers u to leave it on the stove for 5-10 minutes before ur session then u probably pack the tobacco, poke insufficient/large holes, do not clean ur hookah regularly causing many problems, and probably manage coals poorly. why not get the best out of ur session?
@AliTobi i do 150% in my hookah preparation except for the trouble for the natural coals... mostly because ppl are always like " GOD IT TAKES SO LONG ", mainly that dosnt bother me the biggest reason i dont go natural is because i dont have a torch and when i smoke in groves or outdoors i dont have a kitchen stove by me.... so if your directing that to me think other wise ;D
@TheMoparDrvr SPEAKING IN GENERAL. my point still stands, if u go through the trouble of preparing the best hookah session, QL can totally ruin it. when ur camping our outdoors its perfectly reasonable.
@AliTobi i hear ya... but theirs nothing like smoking some hookah in South FLorida during winter time in an avocado grove, cold but not unbearable and naturals arnt so realistic in that setting... but im so gonna buy coconara's for home sessions since ive heard nothing but good from those so...
The only thing that matters with coals is the flavor. Everything else you tested is just a waste of time. Who the hell would smash a coal in their hand while trying to light it?
Three kings coals are simply the best. I have used them since the first time I ever started smoking hookah. I have tried other brands, but I have yet to find one that can replace these
Quicklights tend to burn the shisha. The surface area of the coals are so great that cover a lot of the top of the bowl, heating the top of the shisha instead of just the bowl.
hm i have tried both..and from using the coconara it took 20 friggin minutes to get those things light on a propane stove ...and i personally thought i got thinker clouds using 3k.. however i do use a phunnel bowl but i guess it jus comes down to individuals..jus wish i could light those stupid things faster
I just lit some CocoNaras on a propane stove last night. Use a cookie cooling tray, or any sort of grill/screen, so that the coals sit level above the flame. Set the flame so that the tip of the blue part of the flame (the inner cone) comes in maximum contact with the coals. I had them done in 3minutes per side.
@snowflakemizu I use a Bernz-o-matic mini torch that you can pick up at home depot and it lights in seconds. Hell even a smaller bbq wind resistant torch lighter burns in seconds.
One thing to help with the Coco Nara coals is to set up a small fan to blow air across the coals and basically cut the lighting time in half. I like both coals
im new to hookah, well i have smoked a lot off times and love it but wanna buy my own any advice? of what hookah i should get? Like in cm and what brand of coal all you know i would apreciate it great vid btw greetings from norway
Now that's a product review. Very scientific in your approach, great job. Just wanted to say that you can light the Coco-Nara's in about 3 Minutes or so by having a fan blow on them, I also did a video on that. Thanks for the review.
Great video. Very helpful, thanks.

three kings are pretty shitty coals lol.. don't know why people hype them up so much, i guess people are that just lazy
eugenedabeast 1 year ago
i think people go for three kings for economy and convenience of lighting lol.
