He did not purposely run he over. He didn't say "Hey look theres a little girl over there let me go shoot her". Man slaughter and murder have a fine line. The girls life and her family are already ruined why should they make the guys life ruined and his families life ruined. One mistake should not end anybodies life but you don't need to bring someone down with you because you are angry.
This is a unique case, the camera footage from the victim's limo shows the drunk driver "aim" for the limo. That shows that he meant to cause death or serious injury.
He CHOSE to drink, he CHOSE to drive. He essentialy CHOSE to pull the trigger that took that girls life! MURDERER!!
