Hi, I used mame/fraps. It's possible to do this by toggling the D3D options under "Options"->"Direct3D" within MAME, and then recording with a program like Fraps.
(this isn't supposed to be a video of "good" gameplay - it was just taken as a visual explanation of how the game was played... didn't think many would see it)
