  • Boeing <3

  • b787 still has steering-wheel whereas A350 has joystick already :) A350 will be more computerized

  • @MrNetwar c'mon, Airbus is just a nice name. It doesn't mean that their planes r better than Boeings. Wat i can see now is Airbus is really threatened by the 787..

  • @MrNetwar The only difference between Airbus' joystick, and Boeing's wheel (yoke) is preference. They're both fly by wire systems. I'm severely right handed, and (jokingly) borderline retarded with my left. So if i were i pilot i'm sure i would much rather have the control yoke. Plus the flight deck just looks empty without it in my opinion.

  • @salemcripple even with a yoke you fly left handed on the cpt seat... you need your right hand for the throttles

  • @64h5dsf14j6s41h5s4j5 Yeah, but a yoke is easier for me to control with my left hand. In my opinion that is. I can drive perfect with my left hand (i've always driven stick shifts), but if i try to fly my sim with my left, no matter how much i try, i'm all over the damn place. I'm just weird like that lol.

  • @MrNetwar Your car has a steering wheel. Airplanes have control columns or yokes. Aerobatic airplanes have sticks. Computer games have joysticks.

What do you mean the A350 will be more computerized? More automation? More electronically-controlled systems and functions? Less pilot authority?

What are your sources? I think EADS would be interested to know if they had a leak.

  • i would like to be a pilot fly this plane 787

  • That is one sexy aircraft

  • those two engines are huge

  • bring the 787 to the airlines!!!!

  • boeing 787 just landed at my work

  • The New NINTENDO JET :-) EFISes everywhere!! hoooooo!!! but i like it anyway! what was the stuff on the top of the dashboard at 0:07? i hope for tests only :-)

  • Rolls Royce trent 1000

  • I would love to work for that company

  • Those engins are quite. But i like the GEs Better.

  • @justkiddin08 Airline company with a right mind will buy the 787 only with GE engine.......

  • @mraquinas what is the right mind? patriotism? this is the least decisive factor for an aircraft or engine in this business

  • I admit to being a RR fan. But those engines sound so quiet and refined and pass to the aircraft so well - if I was in the airline business I would order 20 immediately OR go to Airbus and order the 350 XWB - if Boeing decided again to sign exclusivety deals with brother American engine manufacturers. So,watch out Seattle - keep the business open and fair and all will be happy.

  • P&W is fine, but the GE development has been so hyped, I'm interested in those now.

  • These are Rolls Royce units. Wake me up when the GE engines are mounted.

  • How about Pratt and Whitney?

  • Can't imagine how quiet this thing will go.....

    -THX VERY MUCH FOR POSTING-

  • 787 is Coming! :)

  • I can't wait too! I want to travel with it!

  • me not, and i'm building airplnes. with all details of problems and mishaps known up to now, for me its clear, i won't set one foot into the dreamliner

  • I am so proud that my country bought 4 of them... I hope I'll be working on that plane someday... inchallah like we said :D

    PEACE

  • what country do you live in?

  • I am from Morocco but actually I'm living in Paris for my studies... what about you my friend? :D
